this was a split day at Jason Pridmore's star school. Bikes would go out for a session then the cars would go out. I approached the owner of the car to compliment to this beautiful machine and I asked to go out with him for a ride along. He was more than willing! And who could pass up a ride in a built race Viper? No brainer!

this is f404??
I should’ve joined the army now I am obese and useless
I'm assuming their DIs told them "Hey, when you're put at ease, you better be fixing yourselves. I don't want to see one recruit just standing there" so they're all making a show of "fixing" their uniforms even though there's nothing to fix. I think the lesson is "no idle time in the field" and to use any downtime to improve yourself. It's a good lesson but it has nothing to do with making the uniform look better..
Yo it's brisker who was in this video with me still kicking hmu
Americans are very fortunate to have the United States Marine Corps to defend this Country.
front row, between the palm trees, 2nd to the left of Drills face...smoke him!!!! his rifle aint set!!! Angry Cops would shark attack him!!! If you dont know..search Angry Cops!! you need that!!!
Squared away troops.
Marines march weird
1 Bn D Co Plt 1075.. May-August 2008 .. SDI SSgt Morales. DI SSgt Green, Sgt Moreno (RIP), Sgt Briwder
That's DAMN SHARP!! ...especially with so many Recruits. Salute!! This is from a former Drill Instructor with 4 Final Drill wins at 3d Battalion I Co. 1991-93 Parris Island!! Awesome!! Oorah!!
Damn we were fuckin good. SDI Ssgt Chromy ran our dicks into the dirt with drill. Man is a drillin machine and a master of the craft.
Sorry bastards. Drill's got a nice ass,
Always hated how 1st battalion marches lol
Brilliant timing...co-ordination and execution...🇿🇦
I had a drill instructor in STC from this platoon . First squad's squad leader
Thank you for all service men and women for what they do for America. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Final Drill Winner, Platoon 1075, Charlie Company, MCRD (1983-1987)
Okay, good, this is closer to what I remembered. I found a couple videos of Final Drills that were just so fucking sloppy I was wondering if I just had unusually hard ass DI's. Apparently this and better is actually above average, and I always thought this was normal. I mean we had training days before Final Drill where we were even more in sync then this (Some days are better than others), and I swear someone off by so much as a tenth of a fucking second stuck out like a sore thumb, and we fully expected to be hazed for that sort of minor slip up... It's nice to see some precision though... Most final drill videos are extremely disheartening honestly.
It'll be the worst time the best time of your life at least they can't bite you punch you and kick you anymore
I was in plt. 1036 as well. Graduated May 1985 MCRD PI.
These guys look great! 40 years ago for me. Funny how you start not knowing your left from your right, then you look like this. Semper Fi my friends.
70 yrs. old now, but still proud to claim the title, United States Marine ! Semper Fi Brothers ! Fmr. Sgt., '69-72
If you hear recruits sounding off while in port arms, then they are wrong. It’s all a test to break bearing.
This is no joke
How are there so many damn Recruits?!
You know if you think about it boot camp was the best time because you learned everything to serve your country and the corps.
Bad memories. Saw lots of recruits getting the holy hell beat out of them by DI’s. Twice kids were taken away in an ambulance. Boot camp was the worst. ‘66-‘70.
140 Series Parris Island South Carolina May 1976....Semper Fidelis
I can tell this, in 1968 my Senior Drill instructor had no cheat sheet to put us through our paces.
That’s a Drill Card that he’s looking at. No one including the DI knows which card they’re getting until just before they start, so he’s allowed to take looks at the card to see what the next movements are supposed to be.
Good ol Bravo Nation. Like it was yesterday
Anyone know the score..
Yep
Plt. 3122 MCRD San diego1983 final drill score? 86. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I just happend to be at a party 10 years later and ran into an active duty drill instructor I asked him if the 86 still stood as the best score and he told me as far as he knew no other platoon had bested that score. He was surprised I was a member of 3122 and we talked quite a bit. I'm sure that score has been bested by now but would be interested to hear what the highest score is now if anyone knows please reply..
Three minutes in, this platoons pretty locked on.
Why do they March with there knees so high. I think I heard Something about that not being good for the knees but it looks ugly I think compared to how we marched
The MCRD I remember but with the M14.
Semper Fi bro. I went through with M14 as well. ‘66-‘70.
This platoon was very sharp! Very squared away. Damn I miss being on the grinder hearing those boots digging in the deck and the drill instructor’s singing cadence.
Watching this and hearing the rest of the depot get slayed in the background is beautiful. I do wonder though. What company is this? Edit: that wait for the planes to go by were annoying. Edit again: is this bravo company?
I don’t remember doing a “high step” at MCRD in Sept 1957. Then of course, NO ONE can out March Marines!
Outstanding, privates! I graduated from MCRD San Diego on June 18th, 1982. Kilo Company Platoon 3025. Senior Drill Instructor SSGT Pere, Drill Instructors SSGT Bozin, SSGT Lone and SGT Martinez. That was over 38 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. Semper Fi, Marines.
This is awesome!!! I ship in 16 days on May 18th!! Getting pumped
Why do I kind of miss this lol....
Platoon looks pretty on point
US ARMY Retired here sharp marines do know how to march all precise movements no weapons violence no bobble heads much respect to the Corps and to my 3 brothers who served as US MARINES
That inspection arms was crazy
Platoon 2091 year 1988 MCRD PI won our final drill. Drive the heel thru the deck.....
Pretty sure that’s Sgt. Smith who became my senior DI 2 years later!
Forty two(42) years ago. Platoon 1107, grauation date Januarty 5th, 1977. It was our final few weeks of "Boot Camp" prior to Christmas 1976 (best date my 63 year old brain can muster) and our platoon had thus far taken 1st Phase Drill, Edson Range top scores, and to top that off we took Final Drill. Sgt. R.N. Detzel, led us in drill on that final test. We were flawles until disaster struck. We were ordered into a "Dress Right Dress" formation. I was the final Recruit in the second rank. All I had to do was look right. No left arm raise since I was the last guy. Came the order for "Ready Front" I snapped my head forward. I was sweating and my Marine Corps issue black plastic glasses went flying about twelve feet to my left. I didn't move, blink....nothing. I was still sweating when a Staff NCO came into view. I couldn't recognize him without my glasses. I was sure he was one of our reviewers. He headed to my right and spoke to Sgt. Detzel. He said "one of your privates lost his glasses" and he didn't even FLINCH! (He was very impressed that I didn't break drill discipline.) Next I notice this SNCO is looking directly at me and saying "Go get your glasses private." I can't remember what I said to acknowledge his order, but I scurried as fast as I could to retrive my specs. The drill competion went on and 1107 took 1st place. Not a word or a look was ever sent my way. As a reward we spent Christmas Nigtht at the base theater watcing the "Mountain Men." OOHRAH!
Order Arms at 5:02 was on point!
I graduated Nov 2 1990. I was also Bravo Co. Plt 1075
