Thank you Teresa. Yes, I ended a very long childhood female friendship over a one-sided relentless need. I became overwhelmed and the lack of respect for my work hours and sleep hours was just too much. It broke my heart and I still think of her often but it was too much.

The no pants and see through trends are for those who want all eyes on them . Unfortunately I had that mindset at one point in time. I wore extremely inappropriate garments(even to church) because I was so desperate to be noticed. Youth had nothing to do with it. I was in my early 30s! I knew better. But I didn't care.

Great video! I will add small accessories like card holders to the list-items that nobody really notices or cares about. They often don't even have space for a logo. Once I bought an evening bag from Fendi at TJ Maxx Runway. It had no visible logo, and while it was exquisite-covered in silk with beautiful hardware-it was classy but looked similar to much cheaper bags. Honestly, no one could tell how much I paid for it, and I feel like I could have spent the $200 or so (discounted from about $1500) on something else.

I agree with all of these and I would never describe myself as elegant as you. Far from it in fact, which is why I listen to your videos. I see charms on hand bags as juvenile and ridiculous. As for clear heels, I am always reminded of a Chris Rock stand up show from many years ago when he said something to the effect of a father's number one job was to keep his daughter out of the clear heels and off the pole. I've just never forgotten that and never looked at clear heels as elegant.

The bag charm trend encapsulates everything that's wrong with fashion. It was started by Jane Birkin who picked up bits and pieces when she was travelling and eventually built up something very personal. Now people just buy a job lot on Temu or a daft designer horse and think they've nailed it. It's all a bit tragic.
