@@Lifeofaspotter Not surprised it is. Merseyside want to set up some other facilities there, so the size is kind of understandable. I’d say it is also one, If not the only station in the country to have pump capability on all 4 appliances.

@@0ne-6right40 most likely. I’d love it if this station one day became a fully wholetime station with each pump immediately available to respond to calls 24/7.

@@Lifeofaspotter That would be awesome. I actually live in Sydney, although I have a bit of knowledge of the UK FRS’. Anyway in the City of Sydney, there’s a massive “HQ” station that has 3 pumps, a heavy rescue tender, an ALP and a logistics vehicle - All wholetime crews. In fact, it’s actually the only one in the state of NSW to have 3 pumps wholetime. Most of the other multi-pump stations in the state are 1st pump WT, 2nd RDS - so it’s surprisingly similar to the UK system. I imagine Kirkdale, Liverpool Central and now new Aintree would be similar.

I agree mate, I know Merseyside Police will be getting some new Toyota Corolla’s to replace the Peugeots very soon. Don’t know how I’ll feel about them yet though.
