i just found your channel and im so obsessed! love your work! Can you please do some chaka khan inspired wigs?
Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you found the channel! I will research Chaka's hair and see what I can come up with!!
you're Amazing!
Thank you!!
Incredible! Who would have thought there was so much work involved? I would have used Clown White and a makeup sponge (I guess I'm lazy) for the base. The wig is a dead ringer. Really impressive! You've created a much younger Baby Jane.
Thank you ! 👍
This is amazing thank you so much
Princess Aurora
Love the end result ty🦋
Hi 👋 Was wondering what’s the length of this wig and is the wig human hair or synthetic where can l purchase a wig as such
The length is 14 inches. It is level 5 medium brown bundles from Hairtensity and is a human hair mixed with premium synthetic hair. I made this wig by sewing and ventilating the hair into a lace foundation. I purchased the hair from Sally Beauty and online.
Can you please link where you get the lace?
I got it from amazon.com I believe this is in beige but they have 5 colors to choose from. YANTAISIYU is the store. Product is: Swiss Lace Net for making lace wig caps.
Ooh thank you for this one.
Researching for a cosplay. Thanks a bunch
Welcome 👍
Excellent
Thanks 👍
Do steamers work on synthetic and human hair wigs?
I've mainly used steamers on synthetic wigs due to other hot styling tools would burn the synthetic fibers. For human hair wigs, I would treat them the same as human hair out of the scalp. Using hot tools such as flat irons, curling irons on lower temperatures or hot rollers for human hair wigs.
I wish they bring back The hannah montana wigs for kids
What products did you use?
Backcombing followed by Rave 4x Mega Hold hairspray, and L.A. Looks Sport Mega X-Treme Hold Gel. Any mega hold hairspray and gel will work. 👍
Hi! Did you use fabric softener to spray the curling rods or wig beforehand? or is it just curl + steam and then let dry? Thanks!
Hi, it was curl + steam and let dry. 👍
Is this a synthetic wig?
Yes, this is synthetic.
What are those tiny rollers called/ where can I get them from ? Btw I followed your Mary Poppins wig styling video and my wig turned out amazing! Thanks ❤
The tiniest ones are the Blue Long Curved Perm Rods and their exact size is 3/8 inch. The next size up are the Pink Long Curved Perm Rods and those are 7/16 inch. I picked them up at Sally Beauty either online or in person. Thank you so much for watching my videos and I am so glad that your wig turned out so amazing!! ❤
....So _this_ is what she'd look like with a straight nose. Ha! I don't think the absurdity of having someone you knew well before they became one of the world's most iconic drag stars will ever fade. Nor will my jealousy. But I digress....
Hahaha 😂👍
I have to say I'm immensely proud that you did a style inspired by my all-time muse and friend. She is indeed de-gorgeous.
❤💛💚💙💜 Absolutely 😍
Awesome ❤
Thank you for the tutorial. Did you tease the hair after you took the rollers out? I can’t quite tell sorry
Yes, from the nape to the crown and the sides were all teased up to the bun to give fullness and volume. The front section and hairline areas were taken out of the rollers and styled with no tease.
Can u please style the original Barbie ponytail?!😊
Is that the hairstyle with the curly bangs and black & white stripe bathing suit?
@thetheatricalwig2103 Yes, it is. I've always wanted the staple barbie of each decade + holiday additions and their props/ accessories, but in paperdoll form.
Ok cool, I will add it to the list!@@ericawalton1236
@@thetheatricalwig2103 Thank you, I'll keep a lookout. I really like your work!

Where is the wig from
I created this wig from scratch. Using lace as the foundation, and I ventilated (hand-tied) each strand of hair into the lace, to give the most realistic look I could.
Thank you!!
Welcome, hope that is helpful.
Can you do Ariel with the big bow?
Yes, please give me a few weeks to get to it.
Wow! What an amount of work! But the result is incredible
Thank you for that!
it's gorgeous!! I have a pre curled wig that I wanted to use for Christine and I had no idea how to, thanks for the inspo 🥰
Thank you! I'm glad this helped!

Hi there, what wig did you use here?
I used a red synthetic, which I cut the front off of and sewed lace to the front and ventilated hair into the hairline.
Back in the mid 1990’s, the ‘60’s flip was one of the trends that came back in style. My friend and I had a similar flip style like that wig in our 20’s in the ‘90’s. I used to be tiny to the point where I wore my mom’s old dresses from the ‘60’s-‘70’s with that flip hair do. I looked like a ‘60’s movie star.
I love a good flip hairdo 😉💙
could I ask how you cut the wig and the type of wig your using? Thanks a bunch I honestly love this style of wig very 80s
Yes, I used a synthetic blonde wig, that I made a frontal and ventilated a hairline and also added some additional wefts of blonde/brown for dimension. Cutting wise I made layers throughout and created shorter layers at the crown and top of the wig to give it that "burst" at the top. Also I had steamed this wig several times to give it a more lived in look. Hope that helps!
