Are you a sadist? You must be. Use a clipper. I use a Dremel on my toe nails. They get real hot if I go too long and hard. You are torturing your animal, and I think you like it.

Hi, two questions: - What is the grit number do you use in this dremel? The 60 that comes with it? - How often do you trim the nail? Once a week?
Not sure on the grit....whatever came with this dremmel...have had it 2 years, and never changed the paper yet! And I dremmel alot of Doberman nails with it! I do my adult dogs and youngsters every week.
@@dobermandetails4654 Thank you. I have the same dremel you have and believe it comes with grit 60 which was very rough for my dog. I switched to 120 (smoother) and he seems to be ok with it.

My Dobie does a similar thing with a squirrel in the backyard. Everyday they meet up and play along the fence or runs around the shed. It’s really cute. They are so smart. Your dogs are beautiful.

Hello! i saw your 8th week video first and notice she is a bit smaller then my girl. she is 8 weeks now and just got her ears cropped! There was a lady at the vet saying my pup is really tiny... so here i am checking out these awesome videos. Thank you so much for sharing! Your dogs look very happy.
She’s smart and gorgeous! I love the long cut ears! I had a red female with the long cut and a male with a medium cut. I’ve seen a lot of disapproving comments about ear cropping but they probably have Yorkies or cats.

Start them as early as possible, she was 9 weeks when she had it done the first time.

😂 she pounced on that floor like it owed her money! It’s so hard to remember when they’re this small! I had a 95 pound red female and I got her at 8 weeks and she would run under my shirt and stick her head out the neck of my shirt. Well, lol, she did that at 95 pounds too but it was just hard to remember my she could run up my stomach instead of sliding her face against me to stick her head out my neck! Doberman, there is no substitute! 😂

No, we are not. Search DPCA (Doberman Pincher Club of America )chapter clubs in your area, and you should be able to find a good training club.😉
I had Dobermans for 20 years, there are 2 personality types, watch dogs and security dogs. Watch dogs will hang out in the shadows and wait for someone to hop over the fence, then they’ll step into the light and give them the opportunity to go back over the fence. They don’t bark or growl until things get real. Security dogs jog around the perimeter of the fence and look for targets. If they can see, hear or smell it they’ll bark to let it know they’re on the job. They’re incredibly smart, creative, loyal, athletic, and loving. You can’t take them to a class for dog obedience. It has to be a class for Dobermans. Dobermans are different. The training is for the humans, not the Dobermans. Until you learn how they think, their personality, how to build a bond with those individuals, you’ll only be torturing a Doberman if you treat it like a regular dog. They need a lot of physical and mental challenges to keep them happy and healthy. They need healthy diets. Most people underestimate their abilities and show them 5 steps to do a trick and feel stupid when the Doberman does it in 3 steps. They’ll end up owning you, and when you go to the vets, they know they’re a Ferrari in a parking lot of Honda’s! Other dogs would stare at my male and he’d stare back as if he was saying “Really?”. They’d bark at my female and she’d turn her back and go to sleep as if she was saying “Yeah, whatever!”. They’re great in pairs! Their genetic breeding has some team deployment strategies that take over that is very cool to witness! I would highly recommend getting a male and female, not related.

😂 Doberman training is an exercise in freewill! He is so cute, and he knew he could jump to the top step if he wanted, but he just wanted you to talk to him so he could make it more dramatic when he succeeded! 😂
