Why some ministries do not teach the practice of circumcision, sabbath day, and stoning to death but teach to practice tithing. Why are they very choosy on what to teach. Hindi naman lahat mali but very disturbing ang mga ganitong understanding. Hindi ko na po e explain lahat but are we robbing God if we don't give 10%? The answer is No. If we are using the old testament of quoting scriptures to justify tithes then in old testament hindi lang ito isang tithes 1. To support the priest (Num.18:21,24) 2. Sacred festival (Deuto 12:17-18; 14:23) 3. Every 3 years 10% was collected to support widows, orphans, and tge poor (Deuto 14:28-29 ; 26:12-13) If we keep doing this kind of preaching we are leading people to be bound by the law. Imagined they will feel guilty lalu na kung di sila nakapag bigay ng 10% tithes to the point umalis sila sa mga Churches because of guilt. Kaya never naging issue ito sa early churches dahil alam nila na ang tithes nila is not 10% but gracious giving yung hindi makaka-ramdam ang mga belivers lalu na ang mga new convert na feeling nila hindi sila e bless ni God kasi kulang sa 10% or they are robbing God. The times God taught about money was to warn us against it. The Bible emphasises on Spiritual blessings not material blessings.
