Приєднався 17 лис 2016
The FPVWRA is a startup organization with the intention to organize and promote FPV Wing racing in a safe and orderly fashion.
We are an assembly of FPV pilots. Some are racers, some are organizers. All are obsessed with FPV wings.

Foamboard spec wing tutorial and plans
The plans can be downloaded from here: fpvwra.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Spec-Wing-FoamBoard-Plans.zip
This is the FPVWRA Spec legal foamboard airplane. This is 100% free to share and build or even produce if you want to make your own kit. I am giving this free of charge to the RC community to allow the foamboard builders to be able to race in the FPVWRA's most popular class: Spec wing.
The DXF file is the one I used for my CNC laser. The motor mount can be made from 1/4" or 1/8" plywood.

FPVWRA Rules - Where they came from and why
Переглядів 9297 років тому
In this video I explain where the FPVWRA rules came from and why we set them as they are. The reason for this is so that the pilots understand our rationale when making decisions and not randomly making it up as we go.

This is just an off-the-cuff video about the formation of the FPVWRA. This is why it was formed and the mission of the group. We'd love to have you racing with us.

This is the Spec wing gate for the FPVWRA. Feel free to wrap it to make it easier to see. I mark it with 2 flags. You can make your own as well, if you like. The arc is 26.5 feet long.
Hi Alex, can you please update the link to the plans. That one is broken
İ couldn't reach the plan, where can i find it ?
Is FPVWRA still a thing?
Can't download the plan
Any chance you have the files on another site? The link is dead
new link for the plans please
i can't click on the link. Help!
tq bro. appreciate it so much
hi how do i print it out to the size you use as i can only print it on a4
I know this is a few yrs old now… the only file is a pdf zip file. Is there a file (.dxf etc.) I can dump right to my laser? Also, I don’t see the motor mount file. If anyone has both, I’d love a copy!
seems like an easy build , one thing not mentioned anywhere is the scale of the printed plans or what paper size they shoudl be printed on. Flite test includes a scale on theirs so you can zoom in and out and find the sweet sport to print it . Does anyone have any info on this ?
Thank you so much!
Can you please send me the files the link does not work anymore
Hi bro please reply i am from India
how to print motormount?
i’m going to give this a go
Sure would like to start some micro wing racing, especially with great Analog and light HD video becoming affordable. I'm not sure why the WRA seemed to fissile except the by the overwhelming whoop and freestyle wave. Wings are just so much simpler yet still an exciting ride and competition.
Thank you! Nice tutorial! I am gonna try to make this flying wing.
Also for CG, would be good idea to cut hole for fingers :)
Nice plans. Just I would do spar from wood, and spray some foam from flacon, on top area.
I love you and this video, thanks for being an absolute G! Liked and subscribed.
Hi, great video! what is the foamboard size (wide/length/thick)? thank you
This is dollar tree foam board/readi board. The sheets come 20 inches by 30 inches with a thickness (with the paper lamination still on both sides) of 4.5mm.
Dear Alex, can I make a plane with thermopore plastic material? Its light weight.
Thank you for the plans !!!!
whats your recommendation to get this cut on a foam board, if you dont have access to a laser cutter or cnc machine?
Hi... Is a grand turbo gt2215/10 (kv1100) motor good for this wing? Or a cheap A2212/6T (2200kv) motor better... Got this cheap from AliExpress... And a 30A esp... what do you advice?
21:06 🤯🤯🤯this trick changed my life 😱😱😱 really
Probably a stupid question but how do I use these files without a laser cutter? Do I print the PDFs? If so what size paper, A1? I can't imagine many people having an A1 printer
There should be an option to print tiles. If not you can take it to a print shop and they can print it for a couple bucks. Although if I were to go through all that I would just take the dxf files to a makers space and laser cut them. And you should only have to print out one if you print them. As they should be symmetrical. Print out one template and just flip it over for the opposite wing.
So u think 90mph is speed? U kidding me!
Great. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing the plans for the wing. I love this wing, she fly very great! Here is a video of her flight: ua-cam.com/video/iK82fTuhMCI/v-deo.html
great video and thanks very much for sharing, this will be my first wing as im a complete noob, what thickness of foam board should I use thanks again from the uk
One of the best Tutorials out there on this, and I thank you. just now I have to find one for a 600MM size 24 incher
What motor do you put?
Good work Alex! ive been looking for a foam board sports wing, im a big fan of FT but theyre wings arnt what i was looking for , yours looks complete and tough, wish me luck printing the plan on my home printer.

How's the elevator dual rates?
@@ammo193 i had everything maxed out n the pitch control is really sluggish
@@trekkifpv1976 OK.... How about trying better digital metal gear servos?
@@ammo193 im running metal geat servos but there analog
@@trekkifpv1976 duh-oh donuts!!! Analog servos tend to be slow, especially with small control surfaces.... Is it possible to try corona ds939mg? You'll love them!!
Liked and subbed, thanks for motivating me to get back into flying ua-cam.com/video/mQaQoU3_M4M/v-deo.html
Been looking for this! Thank you for the video and the free plan!
Nice informative vid. Would have been more helpful if there were close up shots of what you were gluing/putting together instead of watching you from a mile away. Perhaps you could ask a bud to hold the camera for you next time you do this?
which motor dıd you use can you tell me pls or someone who knows thıs motorr
t motor spec motor
Alex, do you sell the motor mounts laser cut?
Thanks for the plans and DXF files. These are fantastic.
What motor and prop would you recommend?
Rules and regs/motor setup can be found here. TBH you could use any power setup you want, it just wouldn't be considered "spec". fpvwra.net/
@@jhbuxton4 So is the sport dead? I clicked on the link and there is quite literally nothing there. You click on the link for tech inspection and it says to click on the updated rules for 2018 (First red flag: no update in four years). You click on that and it says to click on the 2018 rule book. So I clicked on that and it is giving links to the other two which went nowhere.
any flight video of this one? I really want one :P
Please, what motor and prop?
The FPVWRA website has all the info on spec legal products including motors and props
Love it. Just laser cut a couple for me and a couple for my buddy. It may be a late night for me and my hot glue gun. Appreciate the plans and video!
Hi ibcrazy, thanks a lot for sharing this plan and even more the idea!!! but could you get it touch via flitetest forum with SPONZ and let him have a look at the plans, the community nower days has just "higher" expactancies (this is not a complain, only an idea) and maybe even publish it the over him to grow the wing racing in the flitetest familie. Do you got any sugestions on how to mount the fpv stuff? i really liked my ft arrow that had some slots for the rx and vtx. Keep up your great work!!!
@@fpvwra9745 great!! Hopefully this gives the wirg racing another boost world wide!!
Wahoo!!! 200th subscriber! I can't wait to build one of these!!!
Awesome! Nice job man!
Well, you’re no Josh Bixler but good work Alex. Thanks for the plans. We’ve had several requests for a foamboard SPEC wing in our group. This should be a nice Segway for the guys that started with flight test but are interested in Spec racing.
