Thank you. I writ it after a visit to the Vietnam Vets wall in D.C.
They sound good!
Sounding great. Your voices blend beautifully well.
Thanks, Gerry! You sound like a classic folk troubadour!
Thank you G-Man
Awesomeness at the Manakin Market!!!
Happy St. Pat's!
Missed this when it was uploaded, but am glad to have found this now. Wow, you've got some amazing sound here, I guess it's a combination of a fine, well-played in guitar, an excellent mic and the sound absorber around you. Very well done, Gerry. Thanks for playing Peace Of Jerusalem, means a lot to me (although I am not Jewish) and it's the right time to play (or listen to) this. Many thanks for the show, excellent choice of songs all round.
thanks very much, Brother
Are you promoting this? I just found it two days after....
Yes, I suppose you could say that. ts my own podcast featuring myself.
Zion Crossroads still my favorite song of yours.
1. Old Tow of Butte 2. Field, wind and Water 3. I Am A House 4. Peace of Jerusalem .. 5. Zion Crossroads
Listening while I make tonight's dinner!

Still relevant today!
Thanks Bud I think so too
Excellent creations and musical productions. Much inspired and talented. Wonderful interpretations. Vocal and instrumental. Full of poetry and tenderness. A real peaceful and relaxing pleasure to listen. Much emotionnal and spiritual. Good for the mind and the ears. Great guitar player and singer with a lot of feeling and sense of grooveBig big big like for this fantastic touching perform and brilliant sharing. Splendid and luminous.
Very kind of you. Thank you so much
Respect.
Thanks so much
Sounding good!
I was playing with an expert
That's a very good song (and performance)
Thanks , it was actually written back in the 1970's and revised several times since then.
Have you been writing and singing songs since youth? Wish I would have done that!
@@LonesomeTraveler Yeah pretty much. Since early 20's.
Didn't know that song before but I like it, and I walked the Butte streets myself once and found it a curious place with a lot of atmosphere (a bit weird, though).
Thanks very much for checking it out.
Such a brilliant song, that melody is just wonderful, and the words too, come to think of it.
Thanks for the kind words.
Great song, always loved that one a lot.
Thank you much
Thanks for playing I Am A House!
Thanks for watching and listening
Really like 'Springtime' a whole lot too. Nice guitar and hat by the way also.
I wouldn't mind hearing The Need For Mercury - another fave of mine. Thanks for doing this show, it's got the right length for my taste too.
@@LonesomeTraveler Oh thank you so much. I'll do it in a future episode
@@LonesomeTraveler Thanks " Springtime" is somewhat recent. As Lyle Lovett said " You can have my girl, but don't touch the hat"
Keep it going Gerry!
Cool idea! I've never seen Radio F.O.L.K. before! You're sounding great!
Thanks Man. Hope things are well with the G-men.
This is very nice, good song and her voice is wonderful
Lovely song, bit short maybe.
Yes the lyrics were written by a friend of mine in Los Angeles. He wanted a tune so I came up with one. This is just a short demo to see if he liked it. Glad you do. .It also has a bridge added later
Hi. Bill Kaffenberger here, I'm the one that did the lyrics. Gerry has a knack for coming up with just the right folk style tune when I need one. Currently working on recording this one for my upcoming project. If you are interested, here is a link to the first tune Gerry and I wrote together, its called "Watching the World Go Mad". ua-cam.com/video/xFPCPrqJH34/v-deo.html
Always has been one of my fave songs of yours. Good to hear it again here.
Hey, Thanks so much for the kind words
Well you certainly did it! Nice!
Hey thanks so much.
VERY NICE, Gerry --- don't remember ever hearing this song! Did you write it?
Thanks, Dan. Wrote all of them.

Come with me in the springtime / We'll head on up to old Montana for awhile / We'll watch the northern lights perform / Their hypnotic dances , true to form / - Chorus : And you don't have to say you love me / Just stick around cause I sure could use a friend / I've got a few more miles before me / I'm hoping love will find it's way around again / 2- I've had my days and nights of feeling blue / But I've never known someone who shines like you / I've never really used a compass / Just follow these few words till catch up with you. / Chorus -
Farewell to Dungannon, I'll see no more of thee I'll wander most aimlessly, seemingly free And if I should tarry and never return I'll remember the bonnie, Eileen of the moon Cast me out from this prison's confining walls Don't summon me homewards, I'll not hear your call For with nothing to bind me and nothing to lose I'll remember the bonnie, Eileen of the moon This road is so rugged Filled with treacherous fools Deep in the lonely, despair is the rule But there's no looking back to deceptive vicissitudes I'll remember my bonnie, Eileen of the moon Ohthe wind and the rain would batter my clothes The drifters misfortune is for no where to roam But the stars of the nightfall will play their fair tune For my bonnie, my true love Eileen of the moon
Love the melody and that mournful harp...very nice!
THANK YOU for the kind words
We are well advised to be suspicious. In any event, a great song and timely!
That was wonderful..!

Lovely song Gerry, you certainly picked a great title for an Irish trad original. Thanks for your comment in my video for Dougie Maclean's Garden Valley, much appreciated.I have subscribed to your channel Gerry.I love traditional songs also, here is my video for The Water Is Wide- ua-cam.com/video/UlJbSnB_40Q/v-deo.html This I learned from James Taylor's peerless version of this beautiful song.
Thanks for the kind words. Although the song evolved and is now "Eileen of the moon"
@@gerrylaverty-folksingerson7318 It was a good title either way Gerry.
