@@aaronabellan4136 primed white with army primer, completely covered then in basilicanum grey, which for some reason came out way more coppery or brown than I expected, I might not have shaken them properly. Blood angels red over that, and black legion for the guns. Ledbelcher for the metal parts, and covered then in basilicanum whole thing in agrax earthshade

@@davidchambers331 bad news, he wanted to be the good guys, so I guess I’m ‘pretending’ to be evil for our ‘war games’ I don’t like magnets because I have children and they like to eat things they shouldn’t. They’ve mostly grown out of this stage, but the few magnetized models I did have must have had some kind of casing or something that came off the magnet, freeing it from the model. Maybe they were inferior magnets, but I don’t want to track down better magnets, then do all the work of putting them in. A lot of times I see magnetized models, there’s some piece of cable or something that doesn’t line up anymore. So my preferred solution is to just grow my forces with a new model anyway. I realize it’s a great way to save money on things like titans. I just feel like it’s an expansion hobby on top of the hobby I already have, and have decided to avoid it.

@@ah526 only if you want it to sit flat. The joint has a little notch in it that fits into the socket on the body, if you cut this off you could probably reposition it in a way where your using different legs and they still come out flat. But it’s going to be a lot of measuring.

@@ah526 two battlegroups and the starter worth, as well as a thunderhawk, and a slew of rhinos. Haven’t started on them, mostly because I like to work one thing at a time, but also I think I’m kind of waiting to see what else comes out, as maybe that will change my legion.

@ that was actually what pushed me to do the titans. I’ve honestly had plans for Marines for a while now, introducing them into the campaign on opposite sides, just a minimum detachment.

@@Bluppsn rise of the dark mechanicum. You can still ally in individual titans, or you can take actual formations of them in their own faction.

@@angelicdespot2735 the other problem is, the only way to do it where it doesn’t look out of place is if it’s an alternative to the existing detachments. If all missiles were one mark, and lascannons another, and heavy bolters a third, what’s going on? Are we arming people based on armor marks?

@@EagleSpireGaming yes, it's a problem. That's why I say I'd like two different things. 1) the expansion of the mk6 range so that a whole army can be built with all infantry options in the same armour mark and 2) an entirely new range of infantry in mark 3 (following what they've already done in 28mm), repeating all of the unit options. I don't think GW will consider that level of redundancy to be worth it though*, so suspect they'll compromise by doing mark 3 armour with the missing infantry. *The only possible hope is that they've already done some pretty niche units... It seems like the player base for LI isn't huge and most players are playing marines... the number of people wanting to buy many Solar Auxilia specialist Leman Russ or Malcador variants can't be that many... Probably more people would buy tactical marines in mark 3 armour, even with no new rules, than would buy some of the existing kits. Fingers crossed!

@ could also see something with legion specific units. I think the best option would be to sprinkle them in with random detachments.

Both. My own gray shame is growing and you have inspired me to not buy anymore until I am finished painting all that I own (legion imperialis, only) The chant also needs work. Keep up the content and enjoy the new year

Well one could think warlord titan, 600pts ubermonsterity, with mighty powerfist and slow as hell could at least be rewarded　reaching melee be rewarded by one shotting puny superheavies on one go and not　have to spend 40% game to do so :) But surprisingly little engine killer(1) weapons. Just 6 and 2 of those titan melee weapons.

@ I sometimes wonder if titans should have a seperate form of activations. The ability to shoot and charge would be nice

@@f1fan945 very true, and on a smaller map like this, the extra speed doesn’t help much. But the big reason I brought Malcadors is, I ran out of Russ. Edit: I thought this was on the battle report. The extra 40 points means I can’t afford as much infantry.

@ I’m pretty sure Bo is a porcelain figure, but she can separate her shepherds hook from where it attaches to her hands. That implies that material connections are an illusion. They don’t need weapons to cut free, they simply step away. Walkers, knights, and titans probably carry their bases like a backpack or something. I worry about the ones with crookedly painted eyes. Poor wall-eyed fools can’t see straight and never will.

@@davidchambers331 yeah, I had meant to do a little more set up prior to the game, but then suddenly it was time to play. Lesson learned for next time. It was 2 points for her and seven points for me, and really there should have been an objective on my side, but we had already started recording. Next time I plan it out ahead of time. I’m going to blame the list a little here, In the last list build I did, I left out the dracosans in the 2000 point verson of the list, saying they were too expensive and not necessary in a smaller game, well, that statement goes even further in an even smaller game, and I could have used more troops. I also make some mistakes with how I played. As I edited the video I realized that on turn two my first activation wasn’t to seize the objective I had cleared the previous turn. That would have been really helpful. And then Crayola just made some amazing plays that I wasn’t expecting at all. Now I have to decide if the next mission is to besiege her, or if she attacks my command post. Share it with your friends, they must know to be aware of the treachery of the traitor.

@@alexthebird2756 awesome! I need to do a better job with the set up and closing remarks, but for a second video I think we did good!

@@rathstar I was able to get the list to 3,000 on the nose, and the extra cost of the ogryn would mean I had less bodies. You could scrap a pair of cyclops, and then use those points to upgrade veletarii to ogryn. It’s worth the upgrade, they are better in close combat, but with enough bodies, it wouldn’t be as important.

@EagleSpireGaming Infantry dies so much in the open, somewhere you need to go to get in melee so numbers are so needed. I have 8 veletaris and 8 ogryns in my pioneer company but want to build and paint 12 more ogryns :)

@ that’s a solid number of dudes to pick from honestly, I’m thinking the best way to start the hobby is with 3 battle groups or their equivalent, the only reason I won’t get 3 of each is because I already have too many rhinos and other stuff from before the first two came out. Maybe the mechanicum is a chance for a fresh start

@@Abaddon86 any chance they were playing wrong? The Titan player choose which weapons go against the void shields, so that would have been 6 vanquisher hits into the shields.
