Hey, what's up everyone! Welcome to the channel! I'm Waylon, and I'm here to give you an honest, real look into the world of trucking. I've been an over-the-road truck driver, and a lease operator over the years, so trust me when I say - I've seen the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
On this channel, I’m not just talking about the good stuff - I’m here to expose the truth about the trucking industry. The things no one tells you when you’re thinking about getting into this line of work. The ups and downs, the challenges, the late nights, and the long hours - I’m laying it all out.
But it’s not all bad! I’ll also be sharing the lessons I’ve learned, the tips that can help new drivers avoid the mistakes I made, and the strategies for succeeding in this tough, but rewarding industry. Whether you're a rookie just thinking about getting your CDL, or you're an experienced driver looking for advice on becoming a lease operator - this channel has something for you.

Memorial Day Weekend, let’s remember those who sacrificed and those who served
Most of the YT'rs that are pushing their company, only want the views, clicks and the referrals. They don't care if you fail they just want the referral bonus from their company.
So your judging the company based on the hotel room & accommodations 😳🤔🤔🤔🤔
Not Jason
Yeah coach is a big time repeat offender in the recruiting game 🍻
i started driving with pam in 15/16. was tempted to quit several times that first year. just didnt want to after all that i and my family went through for me to get to that point. that year was crazy rough. several weeks i made less than $100 on my check. got on with a local small family owned company after that first year and never looked back.
7:56 gotta ddisagree cus i was at CRST before and as Lease you do talk to brokers book ur own freight run various load boards … every company is different
Great video
If you ever think about getting back into a truck look in to Trucks For You. They do a lot out in Atlanta and they don’t really go the places you don’t like.
@billyraines forgot to Give him that referral number. 😂 RTR
Tmc transportation is a great company. They treat you great equipment is top notch terminals are awesome
Have you ever thought these UA-camrs were just on here recruiting you, or scamming you, maybe not being very truthful and just trying to get those clicks? Have you ever fell prey to these tactics on youtube? I know I have and I just want to let everyone out there know to just BE CAREFUL with everything they hear/see on social media before making decisions.
Why in the world would you go to a starter company with all the experience you have, makes no sense you’re hustling backwards
Pam and super ego.. what did you expect.. buy your own truck and go with a small carrier
🤔 Iv'e yet to see an engine brake that you operate like a hand brake..maybe thats why you should stay away from these companies, they cant even get their trucks built right from the factory.
The new economy is going to put a lot of truckers out of business with the new tariffs Dollar Stores are not reordering certain items because of the new tariffs
If interested in leasing, hit me up and I can get you on with Hirschbach
" it's December, I'm not going to New York". Man, you don't need to lease anything. Just go get a decent job at a small carrier. There are no good leases. Those who survive live in their trucks and go where nobody wants to and grind.
They own central transport
Do not work for them!! Have you watched Mark from Trucking Answers?
If I am leasing and paying for a Truck. IT has to be in the best possible condition. I would spend as much time as possible going over the truck with a fine tooth comb. And then do a road test. And I would not except the lease until any problems have been put right. Its your livelihood thats at stake. So it has to be right.. All the best with your new endeavour.
What do u expect working at a company like that. Think outside the box. Try bay and bay.... There are so many companys out there that are decent. I work for a company delivering aluminum fencing and mold injection parts I love it
PAM is owned by Maroons, who is contacted to the mafia. They also own central transport and many other trucking companies. This is what was created when you let these companies buy up all these small carriers but never change the names. Transportation is a scam unless you know certain ppl.
It's a hotel room for crying out loud, and it's free. What did you expect, the Taj Mahal?
Leases are bad.
My son filled out an application for PAM, scheduled orientation, then didn't go, but its on his Dac report that he worked there, and they wont take it off.
Well said sir
Well my Army brother if by some chance you might be interested, I work for a company that pays by the hour on driving and on duty time. I will say this that they don't have owner operators here but when the freight gets heavy they do bring them in from outside. Now for you living close or in Atlanta they would love you if you wanted to be a company driver. I live in North Carolina myself and get home weekends.
Hey PAM...please remind ur Drivers not to take their 10 break on the shoulders of the NJ Pike....ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN...
Gee, what a surprise PAM transport is a joke.
They are not trucking people. They are investors. I was there 30 days
Glad to see you are done with trucking, anyone dumb enough to lease a truck should not be in trucking. Stay company and save money and buy your own truck. Im an owner operator with 5 trucks in 15 years of driving. Take my comment however you want too no sweat off my chest.
You think of this guy could go to Walmart or a reputable trucking company he would be at Pam come on give your head a shake
What's wrong with just being a company driver? I've been one my entire almost 30 year career and am doing great as a local Trash Hauler
Check out trakker or hirshbock. Hirshbock dedicated seems like decent deal.
Try Landstar as a fleet driver. 30-40% of the line haul. Run another BCOs truck while you learn the board and they can mentor you on the system. Save up and use the Landstar discount to get into a Lone Mountain truck or buy your own. My 2 cents
Landstar lol. Dude you’re dilusional.
It looks better than the luna lounge stevens transport uses.
If you are interested in leasing, send me a message. Not leasing from me. I have been with the company a little over four years and leasing a little over 3 1/2 with them pretty good as far as companies go, but I will give you the straight scoop.
Have you tried out Hirschbach I’m currently leasing with them and I make good money
PAM is a starter company. You use them to get thru school and work your year off. I do not imagine much has changed since I went thru my first 18 months of trucking with them 20-22 years ago. When you bring your truck in for service, they expect you to move to another truck. They don't want you bringing a bunch of stuff and acting like you have to live in their truck. Listening to your story, I can't believe they are trying to run a Lease Program. 20 years ago, I think I started at .23 cpm.
Well right down 440 to I 40 is maverick its a flatbed company that will treat you waaaaaaay better from hotel to food recommendations
I believe they’re set up like that because of their truck driving school. I’m getting ready to go to their driving school out here in Fort Worth, Texas and yeah, they have it set up that way because of the school. It sounds like to me.
If you’re in GA I would say try ET Motor Freight. I don’t think they would hire you because of your bouncing around companies. You have to be a company driver. They have work. Lease purchase is very slow and there isn’t enough work to survive out there.
Stay away from leases PERIOD. I made $2200-$2300 a week at Walmart Transportation, and I only work 5 days a week.
he is right,i retired from walmart
Go to Walmart
if u have the experience go with walmart,i retired from walmart, good trucks, great pay no bs, forget these over the road companys they r all the same, otr means u r on forced dispatched
Companies like that give trucking a black eye.
I am done with trucking. I want to expose the truth about this industry now and give new drivers, new CDL holders advice on what to watch out for and how these companies out here operate in taking advantage of everyone.
@@another_day_with_waylon bro you went to Pam at least go to hirshbach at least they’re you have a fighting chance new equipment
Quitter
I don’t have any experience with Pam, but that’s a nice looking truck stay safe
Hey man you are back! Was subscribed to the old channel glad to see you back in the truck! Checking in from utah
Thank you so much
What they govern your truck at
68-Lease ops/ I believe either 65 or 63 for company
When I did my lease with Pam I did my paperwork then rolled out, never had a road test..I wouldve still been there but my truck broke down and I sat for to long with no option for a loaner...The money was great no complaints
