@@TheBorderlined when I was younger I heard our local pipeband practicing I stopped and my mother having me by the hand I refused to leave I loved the sound anytime I heard pipes after I wished the notes would be held longer as normal tunes the notes seemed to pass quickly untill I heard Ceol Mór then I knew instantly it was the very original music that was meant for them alot don't like it but it's not supposed to be musical in a sense the Piper and the tune are telling a story I believe some where even coded a call to arms or call to a gathering .

that's right, this music is not the classical way we think about it, it is made to tell story through emotional means, few people are ready to it, because it is also a cultural thing and requires also a certain sensitivity that i'm not afraid to call "spiritual" This music is rooted into time, and yes the pipes were used on the battlefield to give orders and to support martial mood, also to talk and sent messages accros long distances. A by product of piping is the long life players usually benefit, because the breath is related to vibrations our cells like. Have a great day

Even the Gaelic language has a higher concentration of vibration than most. I can play most Styles on the pipes and espire to one day play Ceól Mor
