Schlieren Imaging: Attempt #2

This is my second attempt at Schlieren imaging, this time I focus on different gasses. I used a Canon EOS Rebel T5, an led covered in tin foil with a prick in it, and the 150 mm primary mirror from my Newtonian telescope. Star Trails: Attempt #2

This is my second attempt at star trails and I don't think it turned out as nice. This was taken at the TAMU Physics and Astronomy Teaching Observatory facing College Station hence the more light-polluted skies. Taken with Canon EOS Rebel T5 120 30-second shots at f/1.8 and 100 ISO. Processed in StarStax and Gimp I was under the impression that maximum aperture was best until someone let me kno...
