THE DEATH OF OUR RACECAR
Recap of the 8/3/2024 Buzz 4 Race at Buckshot Speedway
The day arrived for the final tune-up before the highly anticipated Peach City Four Cylinder Bash SCDRA race at Buckshot Speedway. After countless hours of hard work and adjustments, we finally felt that we had the car dialed in perfectly. It was a moment of optimism as we geared up for what we hoped would be a successful race.
Unfortunately, things took a dramatic turn. Despite our best efforts, the race ended in disappointment when we collided with the wall, totaling the chassis. This crash not only wrecked our car but also dashed our hopes for the 2024 championship, wiping out our points lead in one fell swoop.
While the setback was disheartening, we remain determined to rebuild and come back stronger. Lessons learned from this race will guide our next steps as we look forward to future competitions. We appreciate all the support from our fans and team, and we’ll be back on the track ready to fight for victory again soon!

    My son has a SIG branded 1911 22 made by GSG...It is pretty accurate and moderately reliable, at least as reliable as a 22 needs to be for range shooting. I have the Colt branded 1911-22 Rail Gun made by Walther. It is 100% reliable with anything I put into it. Very accurate also. the GSG is a few ounces heavier and feels more like a real 1911. Both are threaded and make excellent silencer hosts. Get the Colt if you have a choice.

    Last Sunday I found one at a local gun show. I checked it out but had to go look around as I had just got to the show. After get the stuff that I needed I returned to the 74 and offered the man 120! So 120 and tax I left with it. I shot it yesterday and it ran 14 flawlessly! Need a cleaning but other than that , nothing broken. My s/n indicates 1941 build. Happy about my new piece of history!

    Have you looked at the magpul moe x-22? It’s super light and when you swap out the the pencil barrel insert for the bull barrel insert it gets really light. I used this stock along with a TK vblock, and tacsol barrel with sights. With the butler creek ultralight sling with Outdoor Connection Brute Sling Swivels. The entire rifle weighs 3lbs 8.6 oz. This is with the stock rail installed. I can only imagine how light your barrel is ;)

    Installed this in my 1999 Miata Base. This radiator fits several years and versions and each may require minor fitment mods. For my left hand drive ‘99: - When removing stock unit, remember there is a mid-bottom bracket that you can’t easily see. Remove completely. Discard. - Before installation ensure your fans will line up on the new unit. - Either remove or tie back upper hose for room to work. -Then, place the new radiator without the fans. (Yes, some people installed the complete assembly all at once, but trust me, it’s much more effective to install fans after the radiator is in car.) - Install passenger side fan first, hand tightening the four bolts to allow movement for positioning before final tightening with wrench. Tighten top bolts first. - Driver’s side fan placement is impeded by A/C lines on bottom outside side. Do not bend or modify your A/C lines thereby risking damage or leaks. Instead, cut the fan housing with a Dremel or similar tool. Remove one inch wide by two inch high section of housing. The A/C lines will not be hit by fan blades. Install the fan with the two upper bolts (there are no lower bolts on the driver’s side fan). Overall, it’s a tight fit. I don’t have numbers, but I know the operating temperature is now a bit lower. The car’s temperature gauge previously stood just above halfway mark when hot. Now it’s just below half.

    The modern Cattleman II is perfectly safe to carry with 6, since it uses the retractable firing-pin safety. Even the ones with the hammer block. ANY uberti with 3 click has some sort of safety , that replaced the first click , which was the original safety notch. Many seems to not like Ruger's feature that the cylinder rotates just by opening the loading gate . That's actually a good thing since you do not need to fumble with cocking and decocking after loading.

    You can’t throw practical parameters into fun factor. That’s blasphemy. Also, .44 mag, as well as .357 mag, are completely different beasts out of a rifle/carbine length barrel.

  • @garyrobertson2679
    @garyrobertson2679 6 місяців тому

    I own two Rossi's 16" 44mag and a 20" 357mag with the octagon barrel. I love walking in the woods with the 44mag. It's balanced very nicely, and you don't feel like you're lugging around a heavy rifle. The sights though.. the 44mag has Buckhorn sights that are so wide, I find it challenging to make decent groups at 50 yrds. The 357 on the other hand is not balanced well because of its heavy barrel but the sights are very good, small, but if you line it up you'll hit your target, no problem

    An important detail is: the revolver is silent not because of the cylinder. The gap closure wouldn't be enough. It is silent because the brass is elodgated past the bullet in such a manner that it comes into the barrel. When the cylinder is pressed forward, expanding brass alows for tight seal.

    • @gabe-we8hz
      @gabe-we8hz 7 місяців тому

      theres other ways to do it other than that like just covering the sides and building a suppressor into the covers by making holes in the cover for the gasses to go into the suppressor and its not silent its suppressed which means not as loud it still makes sound though and look up the prototype suppressed revolver that has the system or close to the system i said its really cool
