Looking for a template on Memos / pitch deck & found you. Very detailed but straightforward enough for professionals not directly working in the field. Not located in Uganda but I guess this template applies to all jurisdictions. Gives me a well presented & formatted presentation with a global overview & digestible information. How do we qualify to get this money so that we bounce back
Hello @rachealnamutebi9182, please send us an email at info@fsduganda.or.ug and include your phone number.
I absolutely loved this video. Wow! What an effective way to communicate the power of "small is beautiful". This is exactly what we are trying to achieve with our CPAR Uganda "Uganda Women's Economic Loan Fund" project for which we are fundraising. The funds we have received so far we have made a one-year interest free loan to a teacher's wife living in Entebbe and whose origins are Serere. She is going to use it to trade in food that is grown and supplied from her disadvantaged community of Serere. Accompanying the interest free loan, we are mentoring her to attain high level financial literacy to the extent that she will be able to train others from her community similarly - the multiplier effect. Her fellow community members from whom she will source food items - such as rice, will have a ready market for their produce and at fair prices. Through trading in food items, the teacher's wife will contribute much needed additional income to her family's household of seven (husband, wife and five children). Yes, our theory of change is to give women long-term interest free loans accompanied with financial literacy mentorship and training. Similar to FSD, we are placing disadvantaged women at the centre, respecting them and enabling them to be the decision makers of how to go about their own development. The FSD unconditional cash transfer not only gave women the necessary economic power that they needed to jump start their economic recovery, it gave them invaluable social capital. It elevated their social standing and enhanced their human agency. This is exactly what we strive to achieve with our CPAR Uganda "Uganda Women's Economic Loan Fund" project. Please help us share the word to potential donors to make a contribution in support of disadvantaged but enterprising women. Here is a link through which donations may be made www.globalgiving.org/projects/uganda-women-loan-fund/ And we would love to explore other ways of partnering and collaborating with FSD.
