We are Joe and Mary Stone, and we have been volunteering to perform for residents of senior living and memory care centers, playing some of the “gems” from the past. So naturally, we named our duo “The GemStones.” We play songs from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, the greatest decades of music ever! (From Playlists, choose Senior Living.) For other audiences, we also add some great songs from the 70’s and 80’s.

Unlike many performing soloists, duos, and even bands these days, we don’t add any prerecorded accompaniments or looped instruments and vocals it’s just the two us, totally live. Sometimes less is more. 🙂

We are really having fun bringing the joy of music to these appreciative groups, and seeing their smiling faces brings us joy, too! Playing music for these folks is just so special, and we are truly humbled by them. We look forward to playing at more of these senior living centers, as well as other events occasionally, to continue spreading the joy of these great classic songs!
