This is good information, I want to add one thing I discovered on my 2018 era shed, if you close the doors up and then push in at the top of the right hand door it will snap shut over a little ridge or knob inside the door frame..........keeps the two doors closed snuggley at the top, a tug when opening pops it loose. Hope this helps.

Have that same ocean city and a few similar reels to the one you’re cleaning in this video. Going to use this technique to clean them, thanks for the helpful info! Do you ever buff/polish them just to make them look cool? Going to try that on one of my bare metal reels.

Thank you! This is exactly what I need for mine. Mine has a spot for one on top and bottom, no idea why they didn't include these? I'll totally be putting these on mine.

what about the right door also bowing out on the top? I temp used a wood and screw it onto the left door, so the wood turns and hold the right door closed

@@bugman8774 hey, thanks so much for this. Off to Lowes tomorrow. Did you use the screws that came with this barrel bolt set? Did they hold in the rubbermaid plastic? Was anything else needed? Thanks

Anyone discover a right door fix? Perhaps a barrel bolt from right door to top of left door?

Make sure it is level. If not, the right door will not sit right.

*Very lightweight>>>**allabout.wiki/fhii** smooth to let line in and out. The drag doesn't click when pulling line out, which took some getting used to. The overall appearance is awesome! Who else makes a green and silver reel like this and sells it for this price? Nobody, that's who.*

Thanks for the info of the exact bolt latch needed. I put the number right into my Lowes account and it will be waiting for me for pick up. Very frustrating that Rubbermaid doesn't have a part for this, but if they did, they would probably charge $15.

Thanks for the video - it let me know what I needed before we built the shed this weekend....Rubbermaid could have simply added one or two of these locks for almost no additional cost to them. Everything about this shed went easily together until we got to this latch. Screwed it in just fine, closed the door and went to lock the latch only to see that the hole in the cross bar that the latch would slide into is about a quarter inch out of lining up with the latch. Everything else about this shed is precision built but yet this isn't? After taking off the latch you could actually see (what we should have before screwing the latch in) that the hole does not line up with the placement of the latch pin. So rather than re-drill the hole we just moved the latch to the bottom of the door - this way our 10 year old grandson can undo the latch and it works fine there. Until we find that we need the extra latch for security then this is how it will stay.

Lowes did not have a 2 1/2" Barrel Latch anymore. At Walmart, I found a Bulldog 2 1/2" Barrel Bolt #D-30 - UPC # 035061927669. It fit perfectly.

Thomas Bell that is great to hear. Wonder why they no longer carry such a common piece?? Regardless, you got it and good deal.

I've just purchased a street legal rail,I call it a safer motorcycle, parts sources may be a challenge in The future however if I don't like something about it I can just change it!

Never tried the cort, but I will never go back to modern lines. With a little care in maintain, the silk will outlast me.

No problem. I was pretty frustrated myself and still unsure on why they don't include one when it obviously has the space for it.

Thanks for posting. Just built mine and quickly realized the missing barrel locks. All my other sheds always had these to stabilize the doors and wondered why they were not included, especially when they took the time to mold the door, and had indents on the top and bottom floor to accept these barrel locks. Spent the day searching Home Depot and Lowes and didn't come up with the part you found, but will try another Lowes tomorrow. Thank you again for finding the parts :D
