I was there!! Got married in the church! Parents and Grandparents are in the church yard! Not helpful video with out a commentary.No history of Ox Roast Day!!!
Not much point with out a commentary,Roskilly's features briefly!A visit to the church and graveyard would have been good. Verdict try harder!
I'd assumed the church tower always had a clock.

The Cornishseen but not heard once again. Not a mention of the Quarried stone that was shipped out from St Keverne! Brief tour sure enough!

Chris Trick I moved to St Ives in 1974 and worked the Jasmine, Celtic Lass and Frisky for 5 years I had to leave the sea because no one would give a fisherman a mortgage and so joined the Ambulance Service where I worked as a front line ambulance and was stationed in St Ives for 32 years. I had the privilege to have fished with Dan Roach ,John f Toman ,William John Ninnis ( legger) and too many others to list but between them taught me everything from rigging and using a mizzen to fishing from Newlyn in the winter for Mackerel. Infact I still tie feathers the old way with chicken neck feathers and whipping

@@davidjanson9900 it feels sad to me , I love all accents but the fact that there are almost no Cornish accents in Cornwall does not feel right to me

Thank you Carole g, St Ives still retains a charm, but not so many of the real Cornish. I remember quite a few old timers I meet when I was younger as well my own relatives, but they are getting rarer.
So sad 😞

It is quite a complicated thing to do, but I cheated and used a template I found a template on guess where......UA-cam.

Sadly I did not see the people I expected to see this evening in the White Hart Quiz night, real locals that would know if any Lugs are still in the village. Hi etcha77 I do not know anybody personaly, I do know that Lugg is a well known name in the area. The St Keverne history website has a great deal of information on local families and Lugg is listed amongst them, I remember seeing it on their display on Ox Roast Day. Hi Cornisheen, I've been watching your vids of late as I'm researching my family history which takes me to St Keverne. My great great grandfather is from there. Do you know of any Lugg family from the village still? Cheers
