Yeah and windows at Basement level is extremely common due to pre electricity and pre heating days this would have been the ONLY source of light and Natural Sun Heat plus the only way to Air out the basement ( thanks to pre 20 Century means of Lighting especially by Gas Lamp light burning that old school Lime and shit was toxic as hell, would have been to open those windows. Even Roman era buildings had windows at basement and sub basement levels but awesome vid as always M8!

There's plenty of footage on here of the Luton air raid shelters. Mostly accessed via a manhole on a street corner, down a very deep shaft. The original entrances are bricked up but sadly, no clue where they are.
