such a underrated game, not a souls-like, this is a human-like, this game shows your humanity and plays on your feels, just like eva and her song did to me...
Soulslike defines how it plays. No jump. Clunky movement. Combo system is very limited. Character does extremely low damage and the enemies take a lot of damage. Usually linear and repetitive. Not every game like this is bad but I honestly don't like the style, it works but it's very much designed to make players lack enjoyment while losing a lot. More of a "your character isn't actually stronger they aren't moving faster or anything but their damage stats increased" kind of game. I played a demo of this game and my immediate impression was "zero freedom, definitely feels like blooborn but it's anime" and I then deleted it off my hard drive.

With 42 classes to pick from, each with their own unique abilities and passives and the ability to not only mix and match said abilities, but also to swap them out whenever you want? Then there's the four types of armor, each coming in many varieties that can be upgraded to cover specific traits, same with weapons. An entire cast of characters, 6 of which can be chosen as a partner for fights. A very much in-depth character customisation system. I don't see where the "zero freedom" comes into play here.
