I personally hate how the subtitles spoiled the existence of Gear Third

here you can see why the subtitles are wrong ! luffy only say "gear" and the subtitles says "third", so the subtitles are spoiling the future attack :(

So nostalgic. It wasn't the time skip, but Nico Robin was the one separating 'Old One Piece' and 'New One Piece'. It went from light hearted adventure manga into a very deep story full of intrigues. If you take a look at the original concept art for the full crew, you can even see the concept for Brook and Franky (and Jinbei too) there, but no Robin. Nico Robin was created as a trigger and plot-mover after Oda finally decided where he's going to go with the story.
