Innalillah wa inna ilaihi rajioon! A wonderful lady and an aabida says goodbye to this temporary life. I have some of the most precious memories of Marhuma Khairoon bai. She was a year behind me at the APPS back in 1956! I wonder if anyone remembers the Nigerian folk play "Shoko loko bongoshe?" where she played a stellar role back in APPS. I will miss her good naturedness and her rioting sense of humor. I can't recall if I ever saw her sullen! "Alhamdulillah" was Marhuma's motto! It is a sad day. May Allah swt bless her soul and shower His mercy upon Bai and place her soul in Jannat in closest proximity to our beloved Chaharda Masumeen as. May he also give sabr-e-jameel to all those that my dear sister 'Kherunbai' has left behind. Amen. Al fateha.
