Music of the Appalachian Trail - (Suds - Last One to Leave)
Many times while hiking the Appalachian Trail, I've discovered diverse and rich music, especially among thru-hikers. An unexpected event occurred during this trip. I was at Shaw's Hiker Hostel in Monson, preparing to head to Katahdin the next day to film. Several of us were gathered around a campfire when Suds and other hikers walked in and played for a bit. I happened to be there at the right time. I decided to stay a little longer and asked Suds the next day if she would be interested in filming, and this was the result.
"Last One to Leave" was recorded in Monson, Maine on October 7th, 2023, featuring Appalachian Trail thru-hiker and musician Ernie Suds. This recording is part of a larger film that is yet to be released. Follow her @ernie.suds.sounds on insta

You're videos are the reason I moved out here. Being emotionally involved when out in the forest, on a mountain ridge, or by a river, its the present that makes me smile within. Great capture.
