Life is Not a Single Issue Event is a short video urging young voters not to make the mistake anti-Vietnam protestors did in the 60s, by refusing to vote for Hubert Humphry (the Democratic candidate.) We got Nixon, Reagan, Bush and 20 years of anti-environment, anti-women’s choice, bank deregulations and collapse, neoliberalism, because we didn’t know where the line between our side and others ...

What he said is correct and he knows from experience. But these protesters don’t have a leader like Martin Luther King, Jr who will make them listen to reason and who can control them. I’m afraid they’re going to make a terrible mess in Chicago and will only have themselves to blame. And if they screw up this election for the Democrats, both they and their cause will be hated.

Mr. Coyote, you are not correct that a Trump/MAGA and Heritage 2025 Project will take us back to the 1940's and 50's. They want to take ys back to the 1840's and 50's when only white me could vote snd all others were property. The lovely 1850's when there were no labor laws to protect workers and the land, and the current civil servant idea of hiring did not exsit snd it was strictly by cronyism and who you know. No Thank You!!! I am not going back and I am a registered Republican who stays in the party to mess with the demographics because I have not voted R since the 1970's!

Peter, a lot has happened since you taped this video. I believe this is day number seven that I have been able to breathe knowing that Kamala Harris is absolutely positively 100% going to win the presidency of the United States of America. 🇺🇸💙🇺🇸And, thank you for the many VoiceOver’s that you have done in movies and documentaries and many on public television. 👍💙

    1. My favorite movie in which you star is KIKA. It's a complex film. That speaks to many different things. The media has been out of control for a long time. 2. I think your points about Reagan need to be in the high school history books. I do not know to what extent we even have legitimate elections. They the are really manufacture consent events. 67% of the voting eligible population did not vote for Reagan. The media told everybody that Reagan had a mandate. They made it seem like everyone was behind him. So he could ram through his reactionary agenda.

I like the talk. Well most of it. I disagree with you when it comes to the Chinese and the Dalai Lama. The man was a tool of CIA propaganda. His brother ran an insurgency against the Chinese that lasted into the 1970's. The Chinese have always maintained that Tibet has long been a part of China. And that the West is using Tibet and other ethnic enclaves in a divide and conquer of China.

My outlook is that yes, we need to order from what's available on the menu in order to sustain ourselves and live our lives. We have the option though to suggest changes to the menu and perhaps volunteer or do what we can to see a better, updated list of choices. Thank you once again for sharing and doing what you can to make positive change a possibility and for many, a new and better reality. Namaste 🙏

WHAT was the title of the Polanski film u acted in w Nastassja Kinski in the 80s ? Saw it then but haven t seen since. Cant recall the title, the storyline barely. Kinda strindbergeresque twisted mental control marriage tale tightroping constantly on the edge of sanity & vanity. Purty hefty project. Nice to note you are a buddhist in these last of the remaining days. In the said film you were a hedonist. Do you think both are related or just appear as opposites ? Kerouac did claim we are just dharma bums because the universe just hums - is irrelelevant in its own supreme glory to us condemned ones to seek a meaning "Down Here Below" ( - a jazz cd by Abbey Lincoln. ) ? The relationship between existentialism and buddhism is not necessarily tantamount to that of fire and water even if they both deny gods. Even Kierkegaard and Nietzsche can shake hands somewhere above the cloudbanks. Cordially suggest DO listen and watch NDE -videos available from this platform by hundreds if not 1000s. Most of them are real and N O T ACTED OUT. They prove there s everything better on the other side than here ! Terveisiä ja siunattua uutta vuotta Suomesta = Saludos desde Finlandia ! + Godspeed ! Maranatha. Namaste. PS. looks like Larry F reached 1 month short of 102, not 103 - big deal or small .... ... .. .

I am so glad I found this. I read Dharma Bums when I was 10 years old (am now 55) having discovered it on my Uncle's bookshelf along with Ralph Ellison, Simone de Beauvoir, Nietzsche and Kafka amongst others. Was fascinated by the character of Japhy Ryder which led me to the writings of Gary Snyder and I might add a love of climbing mountains. I have a deep interest in anarchist thought and a journey through Zen to has led me to follow a secular Theravada philosophy. Have often thought of attempting a book on the complex subject of Buddhist Anarchy. Feeling inspired again.
