Oh yeah Graham, what a great post from you, a real friend of Jerry Lee❤. Everytime i see it i cannot think to the fact that Chet didn't take credit to Jerry Lee in Nashville in the mid 50s and then in 1969 he done this collaboration with the same guy he turned off years before...think about it Chet😂 What a quality of sound and video!!!!

RIP Mr Lewis. One of the greatest such as Little Richard and my favourite, Chuck Berry, as a guitarist. I'm 73 years old!!! You all inspired us youngsters of the Sixties!!! That's how a R&R piano is played!!!

Good to see the clips from his 1964 Granada, Manchester TV special, with everyone on the raised podium.

Saw the man himself performing live at the Granada Walthamstow London E17 about the same time in1962. Powerhouse performance still vivid in my mind's eye. Just like in these images. At the same venue, saw Little Richard another piano thumping powerhouse performer as well as other greats from the 1950/60s ... His piano style had widespread influence. Note the Street Piano players today on UA-cam doing it the Lewis way. Mr Boogie Woogie himself. RIP The Killer.
