Mercedes W211 E Window Defroster Repair
Переглядів 10 тис.4 роки тому
One possible failure with the window defroster is the fact that rear SAM module is not designed for the current that flows through it when the defrosting is active. The connector melts and connection is lost. The problem amplifies, when some of the wires on the windshield brake, causing an additional increase in current.

Hey, might be the cleanest diy flying fader controller project i found on yt, Could you plz detail it more ?
Thank you
Thank you!!! This was extremely helpful!
Vielen Dank für das Video, genau so habe ich heute die heizbare Heckscheibe repariert. Thank you very much for the video. Today I repaired the rear window heating exactly this way.
👍
Good job sir...
awesome! can you share the code? i Want to see how you do that
Why do you use SVG? why not Canvas? Thanks.
Because I am not an expert on web design. Sorry, but I actually don't know what canvas is. My requirements were: light weight, resizable, addressable, easy manipulation with JavaScript. SVG was the fist thing I found.
@@samosaarts Canvas is an HTML feature that is like a "canvas" to draw things and to manipulate them with JavaScript, it is very used for creating 2d videogames, unlike SVG, Canvas is not based on vector but in pixels. I mean the SCADA could be created like it was a videogame. I'm trying to make my own SCADA too. Good job. Thanks for your answer.
Can you buy these already modded?
I think so, some people probably offer the mod. JHS used to offer the mod. I basically did what JHS does. Theoretically I could do it too.
Can you teach me? I am doing a scada project on my own.
Is it used to make a midi controller with robotized faders?
Exactly! MIDI over USB
Lol highly underrated channel ngl. Sorry I imagined you were Bane doing the review 😅
Can i swap only TL072 to 5532 ?
Do you mean only one of them? I swapped all TL072s to 5532. There should be an IC 5 that is in SIL package, I left that original. If I would choose one, then probably IC 1 or IC 2.
the background music is Sick bro, great lesson, Great stuff!!! 🤘😎😆🤘💯
Разъемы джек сверху корпуса - это очень хорошо!
Very useful video, thanks!
Hey, I just found your Video and I really would like to know how your code is looking. I already got some Rotary Encoders, buttons and LEDs working. But I‘m really lost with the faders. The only thing I‘ve got is something like the calibration part. But there is no communication with my DAW and backwards. Maybe you can help out. Kind regards from Germany
Nice! But... How did you do it? Where's the code?
what's the name of app.??
Festo fluidsim
@@samosaarts thanks bro
btw thank you for the video
Good video. Please where can I get the software to download?
Taga CITE mga gwapo
BIG BS!
Nope it's not. I it's a common mod and if the noise doesn't bother you, don't bother. I, for example, was really annoyed by the noise.
Haha
Indeed, haha 😆
@@samosaarts Its not buying worth
@@alexdubmaster3477 Well... Depends. You need phantom power to make it work. Therefore you need an interface. If you are looking for the absolute cheapest option, get an USB microphone. If you already have an interface, well, it actually has some zing to it and it works. I sometimes use it to add distortion to vocals.
@@samosaarts if u could compare it with, witch mic would that be?
Hello Could you help how to use svg inside wincc unified please?
Sorry, I have not used wincc unified. The idea behind this video is to use JavaScript for adding or removing svg elements to look like an animation.
TLDR. At 0:30 I show the wire that heats the rear defroster, the black wire soldered to the output tab of the relay (1:16) is crimped together with it. Unfortunately I forgot to show the end result.
Download link pls
Great, thanks a lot!
I never use this pedal in such a drastic way. So no hiss problem. The EQ on this pedal and hiss can be navigated thru amp volume vs EQ volume for recording purposes and micing the amp or lowering eq volume. Hell, in most tube amps, hiss is cancelled by loudness. Same with eq as boost. Sound techs get way to anal about hiss and forget what live dynamics and warm bodies packed in a room soak up. Your precious ears are wasted hear.
I have amplified the hiss a lot in this video so the comparison would be audible. The reality is, with 5532, I could not hear the hiss when running into 50W plexi (running clean, not cranked).
how do you connect it to a pc
Easiest option is to use a cheap audio interface that outputs phantom power. Just xlr to USB cable does not usually cut it. One of the cheaper interfaces would be Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 for example. If a little higher recording quality is required, focusrite scarlett series is a popular choice. I personally use Audient products.
Hi I have been looking at your Github page but cannot understand the info on your pin connections ect in the code looks good any help would be appreciated
There is a separate motor driver board in there, it takes directional inputs and PWM signal. Additionally, there are an analogue input and capacitive touch input used. There are some pieces of code not used at all. So, the pins, capacitive touch sensing uses digital pins 2 and 3, direction outputs should be SCLK and MOSI, PWM output 5, for analog pin adc0. And it's using atmega 32u4.
I should probably make a video about internals of that thing. Currently even I don't remember, what was going on in there.
@@samosaarts yeah totally do it
@@samosaarts Hey man I've been searching for this video but as of right now you don't seem to have made it yet. I'd love to see whats going on with this thing in more detail!
@@samosaarts That would be so nice :D
where is this electronic box in my w211?
At the rear, usually behind left side trunk upholstery. There should be an access hatch too for changing fuses. But to get to the wire behind the module, it's probably a better option to remove the upholstery for easier access.
@@samosaarts thanks ❤️
Wich relay is the problem?
@@gabrielmariuspricop4545 relay E.
What are you changing to get less hiss? What do those numbers mean?
Ah. Opamps. “Operational amplifiers are linear devices that have all the properties required for nearly ideal DC amplification and are therefore used extensively in signal conditioning, filtering or to perform mathematical operations such as add, subtract, integration and differentiation.” Last time I soldered I had to take my guitar to my tech to rewire. I’m good. Nice demo tho for those more inclined. Well presented
@@TheBoomtown4 it's how the opamp is used. In this circuit it forms gyrator that replaces inductors required for filtering frequencys. And that's sensitive to opamps internal noise.
Hi you have excellent work, let me know where can I get this software
One option is to search for FluidSIM on google, there is a demo version available on Art Systems Software GmbH website.
Really appreciate Thank you
Good to hear, thank You!
Juste use an isolated battery.
I did use a battery during the tests. Seen next to pedal.
I use a noise gate to cancel the hum. Does the job pretty well.
It will do the job, but the problem here is noise generated by the pedal, which will add up. Using delay and reverb after that, the trails will get noise in them, therefore unwanted mud.
Samo Saarts hmm okay. I haven’t used it with delay or reverb before. Always with just an acoustic guitar but I guess I might consider taking it off my pedalboard for electric guitar. Sucks because I was planning on using it as a pre-amp but I guess I’ll have to look for a real pre-amp. Preferably one that doesn’t take up too much space and can get the job done well enough.

How would you connect the limits using a hydraulic circuit?
Basically, using the same idea.
มีแปลไทยมั้ยครับ แล้วในนี้มีคนไทยบ้างมั้ยครับ
share link for 5th version sir...
I have a GE-7 dated January of 2019. I compared it to my MXR 10 band (silver). The MXR is very quiet, light background noise. The Boss is noisy even not boosting frequencies. The hiss is much more pronounced and sits more on top of your sound. C'mon Boss get with it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. That's why the mod in the video.
@@samosaarts have you modded the MXR 6 BAND EQ?
Really Helpful!
Grateful for this because I missed my pneumatic session at the FESTO lab
thank you for making this vidio its very help full for me in my project work. Thank you
Can you show me how to connect. or pin connection diagram to run pulse / dir
Would this be the same mod with the GEB-7?
If I remember correctly, the difference between GE and GEB lies in the resistor and capacitor values for the gyrators. Therefore the mod would be the same.
are you student of Taltech (estonia)? i think the lab you show in this video i did my lab there.
Actually, I teach at Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. But the equipment is similar
@@samosaarts Thanks for your reply.
