The solution is to disable compression on the audio. OpenwebRX has a long way to go, it's not nearly as polished as the Kiwi SDR and SSB audio on the openwebrx does not sound good.

I am totally unsure if this will work for anyone else, but it did for me. First of all, I am sure that all of us fellow users are very disappointed in how it is working now. It's a pain in the ass to try and download the right SDR# version to match with the right plugin version. I am autistic and rely on muscle memory only for some things so I would have to take more time to explain step by step, which I would if someone asked and gave me a day to write it. You must change your windows default console from whatever it is to the classic console. Powershell was no help, and it will take me some time to figure out how to get linux up and running. Even in VVVV verbose mode or any other, I cannot figure out how to fix the fact that most things don't show up on screen no matter what I check with the background/text colour, font, or any other factor. I am not sure why any of these things are the case, so if someone else can help, please let me know. If anyone wants detail instructions in a serious way, then I am more than happy to write them in a professional quality way, and make them publicly available, no attribution required. My life is dedicated to service by showing love to as many living beings as possible; I am in love with life itself, and all of it's complexities. I especially love flaws in human beings.

Same issue for me at times using the raspberry PI 4. Anyone know how to set RF gain or agc ? Pity this can't be controlled from the menu.

This issue went away after updating to a newer version of SDR#. Haven’t had an issue since. I believe it was software related as the hardware is more than capable.

It’s a common and a very annoying issue It’s ether older computers can’t keep up with the sample rate or USB got a problem Iv tried everything and still get choppy audio even tried Airspy on a really powerful laptop and still had the problem.

It could also be a swelling battery inside that is putting pressure on the screen and causing the distortion.

Not really. Since you are within the year period of the Apple warranty, you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever.
