    Hi I see you are a fellow shoe stitcher, there are 22 in the series up to now and I'm obsessed. I've done a stitch in time and am backstitching liberty. I have the bee one in my line up. All these because I saw someone who had them all on a feature wall, it looked fantastic and down the rabbit hole I went lol 😂😂

    Something I'm curious aout is how you keep track of your stitching numbers? In the previous video you mentioned using paper patterns, and as I use paper patterns as well, at times I find it hard to keep track of the number of stitches I have completed and how much I have left in a project.

    • @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher
      @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher 2 місяці тому

      For paper patterns, when I’m counting (something I’m trying to do less now), I mark off my stitches and count at the same time. On a separate piece of paper I write down the stitches each time I mark them off and then count them all up at the end! 🩷 Hope this helps! 🩷

    I’ll admit your channel name is what drew me in lol! I love your accent! I taught myself to stitch during Covid and quickly fell in love with full coverage. It’s basically all I stitch now. I haven’t finished one yet lol I keep wanting to start all the things but I’m a process stitcher. Most of my WIPS are barely started because I can’t focus on just one. Just started a new one again today 😂

      Thank you! 🩷 I fell back in love during covid so it’s nice to see so many people finding the hobby when the world was at its worst 🩷 I was the same and then I realised I hated starts and love seeing the process and progress so stuck it out on each project until I could see something. So when I work a project now I set a goal “finish his face” “finish this page” “finish this section of the dress” etc and it helps see the progress while feeling like mini finishes 🩷

    Nice to see your Samurai, he's another old friend of mine. I stitched him and Mai quite a few years ago, but have had a spotty past with Elegant Geisha. I lost the first one I started of her, stitched her for a dear friend, and haven't gotten very far on my 3rd start of her (for me). I also need to get back to my Miss Ladybug, who will be for my mom. I'm just mainly focusing on my HAED 2024 SAL, which has a deadline of the end of the year (4 pages if I want the other ones in the SAL, finish if I want the other ones plus 2 free charts from the site (it's closed since end of 2023)).

      @@Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher I think you're right on our similar stitching choices, I love the Nora Corbett fairies and other pretty ladies. The problem is never having enough time to stitch them all. lol

      @sarahgreiner2694 this is also my problem 😂🩷 I currently have 40+ pieces of fabric for fancy ladies (all with a pattern dedicated for it), 2 huge orders of kits/charts/beads etc, 2 pieces of fancy lady fabric coming and more projects than I can count already in my home 🩷 the problem with stitching any kind of design is not having time to stitch the designs 😂🩷

    Decorating trends come and go, but people have been wallpapering bathrooms since wallpaper was invented. If you look at photos or tour old homes you will commonly see wallpaper and depending on the trends it appears off and on throughout the past 150 years. If you aren’t a fan go for a painted wall-but it’s not unusual.

    For the stands that you have do they sit on a table or are they lap stands? Also a Mira in a month!!! That's amazing. Do you digitize the pattern or stitch them from the paper?

    • @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher
      @Ashlleighthedistractedstitcher 4 місяці тому

      The Velke Potoky mini stand sits on a table, a lap tray (a tray attached to a bean bag for sitting on the sofa) or can be used in lap. I find it easier to have it on a flat surface! 🩷 I use paper patterns for mirabilias 🩷

    I'm a slow stitcher, so when I hear that you can finish a Mirabilia in a month, my hair falls out. As for Bountys, I love them. Especially the ones with almonds. I'm partial to sweets with coconut. Maybe because I live in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico).

    Ashlleigh, I enjoyed your video! Quick question, I have the same stand as you. Once you attach your hoop, does the part holding your hoop move when stitching? In the video, the yellow one you showed, the entire part holding your hoop looks to be so tight! Once I attach my hoop (QSnap & Nurge) and start stitching, the hoop itself doesn't move, the entire part that holds the hoop moves. I've tried different materials to slide up in that area to try and tighten, all with no success. Can you give me any suggestions? Thanks

    Hi Ashlleigh! Welcome back and wonderful to see you. What great progress you have made in such a short amount of time. Thank you so much for sharing. The charity box at Paine Free Crafts sounds amazing and I think more LNS's should do something like that and use the money for charity...bravo! What a blessing to find a Teresa Wentzler pattern there. I know some of her patterns are becoming hard to find. You are so lucky that Jordan is supportive of your hobby and willing to buy you things to encourage it. He sounds like a gem. Looking forward to your next floss tube. Happy stitching and reading.
