Perefect example of how tricky road positioning can be for cyclists. Moving to the right is meant to signal to drivers they can't overtake. But some will overtake if they have just about enough space to squeeze past. And the scary thing from my experience is that some drivers will close pass cyclists as a punishment for them taking a central position

I must be missing something. He pass you safely, Then slow down a little for the bus coming the other way is it crime to slow a bike down And can you not put yourself in the truck driver view for 1 minute.

So basically 2.5 times longer to use the cycle path to get across that junction. That salmon cyclist sign on the road as you enter the park worries me as well.

1st overtake was good, but the Audi driver is out of their flipping minds driving like that! What gets me is what if the cyclist that driver hit turned out to be a friend or family relative of theirs.

I uploaded recently a couple videos of some very dangerous drivers I had before Christmas in the snow with school kids as well. One nearly ripped my arm off as I signalled to turn right. Met Grinch, Scrooge, and the wicket Northern witch all 3 driving their cars dangerously.

What the heck!?!? And the silly muppet still insists on passing you despite the oncoming UPS truck!!!! Unbelievable. Must of been the Scroog's girl friend!

Im starting to believe that when it comes to cycling infra it is always safe to assume malice for what could be attributed to stupidity.

It'd be a shame if you happened to step sideways just as they were passing and accidentally shoved them into the canal, wouldn't it? ;) Related to that - I wouldn't feel safe cycling / walking along there with them hanging around; I'd expect to be shoved canal-wards...

What the heck!!! Its unreal this stuff! Makes me laugh when councils install all these slow down barriers for cycling, and these motorbikers still get through is unreal! What if a child was coming along! Are police looking into this at all? Birmingham has some major issues with these motorbike gangs breaking the laws and riding dangerously. Yet another impatient motorist that could not wait 2 seconds for the oncoming car to pass by to make a proper pass.

These G4S vans dont seem to have much clue do they! I've heard about them being parked on pavements illegally in Birmingham and Kings Heath mostly. Pedestrians have been in the news posting videos about G4S illally parking. 2 years ago I had one nearly run me over. Sadly not on camera but as he went by me 5 mins later I noticed he was on his bloody phone! Would of reported him had I had a camera to capture him at the time.

Typical driving standard for 70% of motorists. My friend taking his driving test yesterday said he failed because an HGV pulled out on him and he was forced to enter the wrong side of the road to avoid it. I feel bad for him. Bad driving is not just dangerous but removes people's chances to get their licences.

Needs to drink some of his 'smart water' ; - )

I did email this footage to the company but they failed to reply so.one can assume that they are happy for their drivers to behave like this.

I remember going through here once when I cycled up here to explore in 2013. I also had a very simular driver I uploaded recently. Deliberately undertook a stopping car, to jump the red, then nearly crashed into oncoming Right turning vehicles which had legal right of way.

That annoys me so much when they can't be bothered to use the empty lane 😡😡😡😡

Council can't be bothered to change the crossing from a pelican to a toucan so just stick a sign up say dismount.

And with an empty right hand lane to use 😡

They're just advisory thank God. Oh and a waste of money of course. My route to Pype Hayes would be great if it weren't for all the cars parked on the Chester road cycle path.

What the..? Maybe it's cheaper to print a sign than it is to change the light coverings to a Toucan crossing, but this is ridiculous.

Urgh. MGIF's are annoying, but when they overtake and then have to stop because of parked cars or other reasons, I get really pissed :(

Same old same. I've just uploaded the same pass but on a dual carriageway with a completely empty lane 😡😡😡. I always wonder if they'd pass their loved ones, children or grandchildren in the same manner, 🤔 I think not........!

These driver really seem to enjoy cutting across the lanes here. Really silly! Could you perhaps try saying more to the right of the Left Lane then when it moves right, you already are left of the middle lane? Would that work maybe? (I will admit its easier said than done with so many careless drivers about)

You could probably do with taking the lane all down there, if people want to overtake they can use the other lane. It looked pretty hairy for a second there, no wonder people are scared to get out on their bikes!

I've seen this on Google Maps. Looks dangerous having the slow lane form into the 2nd lane. Poor safety design there. That is a convenience design, to help allow entering vehicles onto the road, but slower more vulnerable road users must use a faster lane of moving traffic.
