Sequence 2 A Simple Plan A Simple Plan is the first and only memory in Sequence 02, and serves as a tutorial for the game. As the game continues, Assassin Evie Frye executes her plan to assassinate David Brewster in his laboratory and recover his Piece of Eden. As you begin playing Evie, it's worth taking note of the map she burns, as it shows the general layout of the area to come. First things first though - causing distractions. Detatch the Locomotive Use a whistle to attract the nearby guard and lure him into an assassination from cover. These are useful as you'll drag the body behind with you. Catch up to his friend and plant a knife in his face for an instant kill. Make your way up the train, taking out any thugs you find silently or with a lot of slashing. Be on the lookout for a thug guarding a chest and be sure to loot it for some items. When you reach the front of the train, detatch the compartment by smashing the link, and watch the rest of the train fall away. Reach a Vantage POint Stay out of sight for a moment as a group of thugs runs to see what happened to the train. Then get a stock of the remaining thugs with Eagle Vision, and make your way up to the center tower. Use the train cars for cover if you don't want to make a commotion, then climb up to get a view of the trainyard. Reach the Laboratory After eavesdropping on the mysterious conversation, fall back down into a nearby haystack, and lure a thug to his death with a whistle. Your objective is to make it into the large storage area on the left, but you can bypass a lot of the guards by going up and over the building on the right, and using the bridge. Optional Objective: Kill 5 enemies with hanging barrels You should notice a lot of hanging stacks of barrels as you make your way long the train yard. There's one near the right building, another near the bridge, and another beyond the building on the left. Wait until you see one or more thugs wandering below to hit the barrels with a knife and send them crashing down. Speak with the captive As you enter the building, you'll find the secret laboratory is nowhere to be found, but a blabbering captive might know where it is. Head to the upper level to find him being interrogated by two thugs. Toss a smoke bomb at them and clean up while they desperatley claw around. Once you free the captive, he'll alert you that the entrance needs a key that another guard has. Locate the Key Return to the storage area across the bridge to find more thugs inside. Use your Eagle Vision to find the target on the ground floor. Either kill him and loot his body, or steal it from him without him knowing - it's your call. With the key in hand, it's time to find the lab, which lies at the end of the trainyard. Locate the Secret Lab Entrance If you want to avoid more thugs, hug the walls leading to the semi circular trainyard depot, and enter to find even more thugs wandering around. Take them out as you please, and be on the lookout for a chest or two with additional cash and items. The door you are looking for is on the far right side - make sure no one is following you and unlock the door, and take the elevator down. At this point you'll level up, and get the Double Assassination skill as well as another of your choosing. If you like to be silent, Loot Takedown and the improved Eagle Vision can give you a boon for the rest of the memory. If your more combat oriented, you can pick from the combat tree (Note that Jacob has a seperate set of identical skills to choose from when playing as him). Locate Sir David Brewster Move into the lab and take out both guards with one blow (make sure they are both highlighted in red before assassinating). Move up and to the right and go through the next few rooms, taking out thugs and crossing pipes and machinery. Once you locate Brewster, head through the final area and keep a low profile to avoid attracting unwated attention. Hop up to the second floor where you can overlook the lab. Optional Objective: Air assassinate David Brewster If you've been making good on your "keeping a low profile" approach, Brewster should have no idea you are spying on him. Head over to the balcony and climb up to the beams above. Hop across to the center where you'll have a perfect view of your target, then make your move. Escape the Secret Lab Things have gone...sour. It's time to leave - so don't wait around. Keep running down the linear path and avoid the falling debris. Once the ground gives way, head into the sewer and go through the narrow sections to find a way out.
