Old kincardine on forth video
Old video from the 1980's showing how the old Kincardine bridge used to operate, followed by a documentary showing how the large pylons over the forth river were built, and finally the old kincardine power station chimneys being demolished.

What a shame in the present energy problems, maybe it should have been kept.
So beautiful.
500 ft up. No harness, but it’s ok, they were issued hard hats 😂
ah remember pylons going up near us when ah was a wee boy , they seemed massive then , common as muck now , aye !

Great story! My grandad (James Stewart), who was from Perth, told me he saw it on its opening day. His dad was a truck driver and took him down to see it open. He died a few weeks ago at the age of 96. I loved him a lot and miss the stories from a time gone by….
The wee girl at 1.03 will likely be in her 20s now wonder where she is.
Lived there from 1959 when Dad started working at the Power Station.Very proud of my little town.
I remember the Dodds family, my name before marriage was Elspeth Gardner
It makes you think of awaiting your ferry at port while stopping at the traffic lights.
