Hello and welcome everyone!
I am currently a resident doctor based in London. Palindrome is designed as a medical education channel where I try to explain complex medical topics in an easy-to-understand way. I love creating the animated figures in each video, and teaching these topics helps me to remember things as well :-)

Heart Sounds | Physiological Splitting of S2
Normal heart sounds are produced during the cardiac cycle when the atrioventricular valves close (S1) and the semi-lunar valves close (S2). Splitting of heart sounds occurs when there is either a delay between the tricuspid and mitral valves closing or a delay between the aortic and pulmonary valves closing. This video provides an overview of the normal heart sounds and physiologically split S2 heart sounds. It is designed to help medical students understand the content with animated figures.

Its great video But i have a question ,, in the second phase of the test the patient must still fasting or not
Hi, that's a really good question! Just to clarify, the patient is kept nil by mouth (no food or water) during the water deprivation phase, which lasts approximately 8 hours. For the second phase of the test, the patient can eat and drink freely after the desmopressin is administered.
Keep on the good work. God bless you for teaching and sharing ❤❤❤❤❤

Is cranial D.I inherited?
Hi! Cranial diabetes insipidus can be inherited in some instances (caused by a faulty gene mutation). Other possible causes can include damage to the pituitary gland or hypothalamus by surgery/infections/malignancies.
Okay so it is possible for cranial D.I to be inherited, from the video I thought only Nephrogenic D.I was. Thank you for the clarification .
