❤ I love this movie with all my heart. It already had a little age to it by the time I first watched it as a kid; it was maybe 10-12 years old by then, but it had everything that appealed to a kid: summer, bikes, kids being kids, relatable adult rec ball coach characters, and an anti-hero portrayed by Walter Matthau. Add in the “Carmen” score and it’s literally a perfect movie. Side story…I developed an irrational fear of flying around 2000, which is the last year I took a flight anywhere (I was a HS senior). My SO and I were traveling to Key West from NC and the only logical mode was by air…and I was terrified. Thanks to Delta Airlines (not a paid sponsorship but I will definitely plug them 😂) and their in-flight movie options, the Bad News Bears kept me sane and focused from Raleigh to Miami. Makes this movie even more special to me! ⚾️ ❤🍺🌴🚲🧢 🇺🇸💛🤍🖤

I was about 5-6 years old the first time I saw "The Bad News Bears" and it was at my half sister's house with her son and her half brother. They both played middle school baseball at the time. Back when they showed the movie every year on regular TV. I loved it ever since! I have all 3 of them on DVD and the remake with Billy Bob Thornton too on DVD. I love all 4...One of the greatest sports movies ever.

To all the remaining members of the bears. There is so much money to be made in autograph shows get out there so many people would like to share stories with you guys

This movie means a lot to me. I know these guys don't realize it from their perspective but for my generation it's a landmark film....which us why my sons name in Tanner

I also think its crazy that Vic Marrow and Walter Matthau were in a movie together with Elvis ( King Creole)

Best movie ever made!

Another thing about Walter Mathau, he would sit court side at Laker games in the 70's, LONG before it became fashionable for Hollywood to show up court side. Mathau was a basketball fan and unlike other front running celebrities, Walter was not there to "be seen" or only happen to show up when the team wins. When I got my first VHS recorder in 1982, my first movie purchase was the Bad News Bears

The movie was so realistic for those days sometimes a coach would hit his kid that was normal what wasnt realistic about the movie Tanner making all those racists comments in the real world one of those kids would have cut loose on him thats how you know its a movie

I played Little league from 1974 to 1977, and my Little League team was also called the Yankees, and we had the same uniforms. Our coach, Coach Castro, would also have a six pack of Bud with him during the games, lol! Brandon Cruz went on to be the singer for the Nardcore Punk band Dr Know…….

I grew up in Tarzana. The arcade scene was shot at Bonanza Arcade in Tarzana next to Builder's Emporium (gone now) and Gelson's Market (which is still there). Went to that arcade many times before BNB and after until it closed. I have a connection if you can call it that to this great movie as well JD

BNB is a lot higher regarded than just a kids movie. It is powerfully subversive. The young actors were dynamite, and made the whole idea work. I would also like to learn about the actor who played Tanner, and his reflections on his character. Tanner was our hero!

All us sandlot kids were the Bad News Bears. And we were all good. LThese were the days in the 70’s where we played baseball, football and hockey. Outside, not on screens.
