Cooking with Dat Funny.... Seriously???
How’s the ventilation? Does that reflective layer on the bottom of the fly help with heat and morning sun?
It does help. The ventilation is good In this Tent. Truly one on the best tents I’ve ever bought for the money. Still use it today.
Till the plastic swatter comes off when you grab it.
Spray paint it fluorescent green, orange so on. The fly 🪰
Spray paint those black ones .
Much easier and even cheaper way . Wrap duck tape around the noodle . Let it over lap itself about a 1 1/2 inches. Tie the string in the middle of the duck tape . Pull it tight enough it cuts down into the tape a little so it doesn't slip off the tape I prefer spider wire type string . The duck type keeps the string from cutting through the noodle. I get five noodles from one stick of floaty. Can store twenty or more in kitchen tall trash bag . Just don't forget to secure it to something during transport or it will fly off if you don't . And always use circle hooks . Way better hook up rate and seldom if ever have to deal with a swallowed hook. The only purpose of the noodle is to keep sight if your line . You could use empty cola bottles for the noodle if you wanted as long as you painted it some bright color making it easy to spot . Here in Louisiana were now required to tag each noodle with our name and contact information . So check your local requirements .
Thnx man, great video, can't wait to try!!!!
Hope you have as much fun as we have
Would not use that stringer in alligator waters
I probably won’t. No gators where I’m at thank God.
How long, or deep, do you like your line to be?
We use ours on a creek that feeds a lake. I have them set at about 4 feet deep and it works great for us. Best of luck
Thanks for sharing this fun video.
We bend wire hangers into small t with hook squeezed small enough to go through t on opposite end
Sounds like a great idea. Do you have a picture?
Be careful using them in Texas. Pay attention to the laws
How is this illegal in Texas? 12" long noodle, have personal information on jug and date set out.
@@beckydaleit varies from lake to lake... Even in the same district
In Texas freshwater you're jug is supposed to be white in salt water it is another color
@@BrianJohnson-ih1hb not true. Can be anything but orange
Excellent video and idea. Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
You grab that noodle boy.
I was gonna say 🐂 💩 because of the price.....but then I realized this was filmed when Trump was president. FBJ
I use 20 once coke bottles, with crack filler foam inside, twenty four fit in a coke crate ,biggest cat I ever caught on one 54 pounds.
That is a great idea. Thanks for sharing
Not sure I understand the point of the flyswatter. Not sold on that “cinch” knot either (I think you meant Clinch). More of an attempt at a snell knot. Look it up so you can see what you are doing wrong and then you can snell the hook properly. You kinda combined a snell with a clinch. Enjoyed watching though. Happy fishing.
Also, when snelling a hook properly you don’t even use the loop on the hook unless it’s bent on an angle which is a hook designed to be snelled. Look up snelling and practice. It’s a good skill to acquire. Also learn the Perfection Loop which is the proper loop to use with snelling to make your own leader hooks.
You might have missed it in the end of the video, he’s catching cats successfully.
I think the point of the flyswatter is that it’s cheaper and easier than running a piece of PVC through the middle of that noodle and having to drill holes and such. There’s already something to attach a line to. Those fly swatters are all about the right length too.
@saltydawg8988 you are correct and my kids just think it’s the coolest thing watching the Flyswatter wave around with a fish on. Thanks for watching
id really like to know what that stringer thing is, not having any luck searching for it
So basically its like juggin. Instead of milk jugs & coke bottles. Nice. This one is better cause you have something that holds your hook when you wrap it up. Gonna do this w/my boys. Thanks
Which is illegal in my state ...only land lines...with ID tags.
@michaelhernandez3041 I hate that. We use limb lines also. Whatever it takes. Love getting the kids involved
I just cut the noodles about a foot, open up a clothes hanger, fold it in half, run the ends of the clothes hanger up into the noodle then fold the ends over the top of the noodle. This creates a closed end at the opposite end of the noodle to tie my line adding a weight and hook. When a fish is on the noodle stands straight up unless it goes to the shore. In my State you can only put out 25 per licensed person. I have mine stuffed in 5 gallon buckets pull them out one at a time, pull the hook out of the noodle, bait it, throw it in the water and the weight unwraps the line. I throw mine out then go fish and watch for one to pop up or go to the shore before I check them. Those things have caught me some fish from time to time when I haven't caught anything. You're right about one thing my grand kids love just going out to noodle for fish.
This qualifies as a "fish trap"? Right? According to DNR guidelines it's effectively the same thing as a jug trap. Right?
@seabeechief99 no, it’s more like a jug line.
That was the dumist thang I have seen
Well Dave it’s cheap, easy and catches fish. My grandkids love making them so we will just keep on fishing and pray that whatever you choose to use works as well. Thanks for watching
The dumist thang I'm seeing is your spelling and attitude lmao
Thanks for the video. Are you still using your 15x9? How is the tent holding up? Number of times you have used the 15x9? Thanks!!
It’s held up good. We still enjoy it. We use it about 6 times a year on average
Those this tent has good ventilation? How is the temperature inside the tent?
does the tent have a cord access port for running an extention cord
This is the worse design ive seen, been jug fishing over 30s year's
So, essentially this is a fish trap, kinda dealio, right?
Everyone to their own likes. What works for one may not work others.
How big is the biggest fish you caught with one of them. Thanks
We catch anything up to about 10 lbs is about the biggest I remember. My grandkids love them. Thanks for watching
@@datfunnyadventures1312 I have a question: is it the same thing as a jug trap? Do you have to tag them?
I have this same tent and I like it. I had an issue once with water getting in but I think it was wet because the tarp I had on the ground was sticking out so water was trapped between the tarp and the floor. I bought a giant bag for this tent before I ever used it. I don't have to fight to get it into the bag. The only bad thing is this thing is heavy.
My best friend, that's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
How many inflatable beds can you fit in there and still be comfortable?
Great video thank you. My husband and I were quite undecided between the Gazelle and the Bushnell, well this helped solidify our decision.
Did you waterproof the tent before your rain?
How to rig this to your fishing pole?
My grandkids and I make these. They love using them. They catch fish. Use it just like any other jug design. Happy fishing
How can I make this a slip pool noodle bobber?
I bought this tent at Wall mart in 2016. I have used it 2 times at Sequoia NP, once at Kings Canyon and once in Yosemite. This summer going to Yellowstone. I am a small female and have put it up with my 12 year old son. I love when it is up. It is a bit heavy for me but I have managed. It takes me about 30 min to set up including the staking. I have been in rain once and didn’t get rain inside. I love having my little “house” away from home. I just can’t believe how much the price has gone up . I see it’s currently at Amason for $499.00!
Fly swater is .50,noddle u say .88,hook,line,swivel,weight=1.50,a total of $2.88 roughly
I wish your spelling was as good as your math.
Sweet build brother from 🇨🇦

Leave his dang Christmas deer alone!
That’s a wild one!
Dat funny right there 😆
The JUDGE failed!
Great instructions...thank you.
very nice
AWESOME Thank You..................
Glad you liked it.
Thanks for this video My daughter enjoyed it
how does it do with the rain and condisation
I always bring a trap for heavy rain. But for light to moderate rain it’s great.
Great video! You sold it for me, getting for the family! Many adventures to come. Thank you!
Sorry for the delayed reply. Hope you are still having amazing adventures.
Looks like a good tent. How long is it when its packed down?
Great review thanks for all the details!
Thank you. Hope you get out there and have fun.
Buying this tent based on the review
Great. Hope you love it as much as we do.
