To be frank, Barbara Luddy was not a great choice for Kanga. She does sound sweet and caring but more like a grandmother than a mother (unsurprising, since she was almost 60 when she first voiced Kanga, and almost 70 when she reprised the role in 1977). Kath Soucie though was pitch-perfect casting. Like with several other characters, I wasn't keen on the recasting in the 2011 movie. Kristen Anderson-Lopez wasn't bad in the role, but she inevitably felt like a downgrade compared to Soucie.

As a guy who has the same anger problems like this guy, I don’t blame Edward for his anger. Even while bro is jealous of Lazlo and annoyed with everything around him, outside of Camp Kidney bro lives a terrible life. He suffers the abuse from his 4 older brothers who do nothing but torment him and abuse him for no reason (and I was scared of the way they played tetherball when I was little). And has such an ignorant mother who doesn’t give two sh*ts about him at all, and favors his brothers over him. But bro really needs a hug (and some anger management classes)

I only saw a few episodes. And while CD has its flaws, it’s the moments like these that makes it worth a watch.❤
