Top Tip :- Free motion machine embroidery tip!
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
If you are stitching small dots close together in free motion embroidery, it can be difficult to cut the threads close if there is no slack in the thread; there is no room to fit your scissors into a small gap. This technique will help you with this problem by showing you how I leave the threads long by dragging out the top thread with a pin, this means you can pull the threads tight away from ...

In this small video I show you how easy and effective it is to add small circles of fabric using a glue stick. It doesn't make the needle sticky and works really well. I also show you how to mix up the design a little to great effect, making your free-motion embroidery design look interesting and quirky. I have a website www.johilltextiles.co.uk where you can browse my original works and I also...
Using thick woven wool to stitch free motion embroidery onto.
Переглядів 1,7 тис.3 роки тому
Watch me stitch a seed head design in free motion machine stitching, using size 12 cotton thread and small pieces of raw edged applique fabric. I love stitching onto wool, you often don't need a hoop as the wool doesn't pucker due to its weight. The bobbin thread never shows on the top of your work (unless the tension is incorrect) due to the thickness of the cloth. It gives your work a luxurio...

Absolutely beautiful work! Thank you for your wonderful videos Jo! Do you sell the lampshade kits please? 😊
Lovely😊
Thank you! 😊
What was the button you kept pressing on the right of your machine ? Thanks
She was pressing the needle up button
It's not very easy for me. For example to sew a second time in the same stitch line... It's complicated. The larger of point is wich number ? And the tension of machine ?
Beautiful work
Does anyone know how to frame a vintage textile under glass to make a serving tray so the tray is waterproof?
Your work is amazing. What type of sewing machine do you use? I am having difficulty with mine & would like some ideas for options if that's ok?
Where do you get the backing card that you tape it on from?
Thank you so much! This looks like so much fun. Does the kit come with all the little fabrics cut out ready to fuse on?
That pretty
Which thread do you use for embroidery? And which needle ? Kind Regards
I love your work Jo. It’s beautiful and very similar to my designs. I’ve recently worked on an adhesive stabiliser that washes away, it’s nice to allow light through too. Have you tried it?
Beautiful work , thank you ❤
You're so very quick at this technique-I can only hope to get to your speed- beautiful work. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
so nice ❤❤👍😍
