Is this print ready?
No! I created the design only for this video 😉
@@oussmezher could you please make a video on how to make a print ready pattern only using procreate.
@@sneharathi9944 Sure!
You are SO talented! This is amazing! Thanks for explaining this whole process.
THANK YOU 😄, glad this video helped and my process is clear.
Your site looks great!
Thank you 😊🙏🏼
Hey! Your channel has been very helpful for me. Thankyou for the tutorial! I had a doubt but idk if I would be able to explain it here :(
Glad to hear that the videos are helping 😄 I am happy to answer any question 👍🏼
외국어는 잘모르지만 프로크리에이트 패턴공부할때 정말 많이 도움되요-! 좋은영상 감사합니다 Thank you😊
Hihi I went to google translate ☺️ Glad the video was helpful 👍🏼 Cheers
Which application you are using?
I'm using Procreate app and the « Pattern Builder Kit » brushes
@@oussmezher thank you 😊
You do not need to double click a zip file you tap once and it will unzip also you should never duplicate a duplicate as the quality gets fuzzy always duplicate the bottom layer
Thank you for the info. 👍🏼
Excellent tutorial! Thank you so much for creating this. 🙌🙌🙌
Glad it was helpful!
Great Kit Love your tutorials! Got the kit, now to,practise❤😊
Wonderful!
Mam is it possible to make this design in pc
I'm a Mac user, but the design is done in photoshop so i don't think the steps are different ... hope that answered your inquiry
Hello and thank you for the nice tutorial
Thank you ! glad you liked it
free?
There is a free sample on my website if you are interest 😉 www.oussmezher.com/freebie
I am enjoying your videos. You teach clearly. I think Procreate needs a lot of workarounds to assemble the repeat. Would it be possible to do a tutorial video specifically for the Half Drop Composite using Procreate to sketch inside the shape but this time using Affinity’s Live Pattern preview to assemble (and ink and color) the repeat?
I have a demo for the half drop on the main video: How to install and use the « Pattern Builder Kit » brushes in procreate ua-cam.com/video/KnQHGP4RUmk/v-deo.html
Thank you for your thorough and clear instructions! ❤
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the very helpful video tutorials. So you essentially use the same techniques in both Procreate and Affinity, but 1) Procreate is for sketching, assembling the motifs, and making sure the repeat is correct, and then 2) Affinity is for inking in vector. Is this correct? If so, I will need to purchase the Pattern Builder Kits for both Procreate and Affinity.
I use both, when i want a textured pattern I use procreate, and when i want simple flat colors I use affinity. I recommend buying the kit for the app that you use the most. I have free brushes for Procreate if you want to test them www.oussmezher.com/freebie Hope that answered your question 😌
It does not work with CS6 :(
SORRY About That! 🙏🏼 I didn't have an older version to test them
@@oussmezher I wish you'd make it available for CS6 there's still a lot of people out there that use that one. They'd be so grateful 🥲
@@oussmezher That's funny, it works on photoshop but not illustrator?
@@CarinaParry that is great! funny I had it tested by a friend and it worked on illustrator cs6 🤔🙄… well unfortunately I can’t promote it for older versions as I’m not personally testing the brushes 😓
@@oussmezher trouble is, I wanted it for illustrator 😭
I like so much your content, straight to the point! 👌Thank you so much 😊 Soso & Mina 😘
Thank you 😄
Would be handy if you covered more than just the basic shapes. What about some of the composite options?
Coming Soon for the composite but if you see the process in procreate it's the same the only difference the tools to move your layers. ex: use snapping to place elements in procreate and you use transform and add or subtract half the size of your canvas.
@@oussmezher I look forward to seeing more videos which explain the use of the assets specifically in Illustrator and Photoshop
I will try to post demonstration soon @@vickiloader2524
Can I install the Pattern Builder Kit on my laptop?
I think yes... I created these with only iPad in mind. here an article about switching between ipad and desktop...read it and decide what is best for you affinityspotlight.com/article/how-to-switch-seamlessly-between-affinity-on-desktop-and-ipad/?fbclid=IwAR3romqYQRk3atlMNl7Zl22rL_F5lmoTsE5TqkbRWyIIKwCN0CjdPwe5cEE Cheers
Thank you, I'm purchasing the app.
Thank you! Great idea and I just bought it.
Hope you enjoy it! and I'm here to help 😊
How do you prepare sketches? On paper? Do you draw shape like diamonds on paper and next elements?
Purchased this but now i cant download. I tried to contact support but my messages dont go through, it all says error. Money gone lol
Sorry Jammy for not answering sooner, PLEASE send me your email and i will send you the LINK
my email hello@oussmezher.com
also where did you get the brushes so i can contact support team from my part
Thanks. I gave my sister the link and somehow it opened in safari browser. Thanks so much. I am enjoying it already. Well done
It looks similar to the diamond method, only scalloped.
Exactly! 👍
Are we allowed to sell the patterns that we make from this kit or is it personal use only?
I you bought the Commercial licence or Extended Licence, YES.
Thank you for this video, what dimensions are you using to create the rectangular canvas, please?
For this one I use 1824 x 3000 px but you can use any rectangle as long as the number is even and can be divided by 4. 😊
Thank you! I had no idea how to create a rectangle or any other shape LOL! @@oussmezher
@@soulcustodytojesus9296 I'm Sorry about the mistake The size is 1824X 3600px But you can adjust the shape on the first size and the process is the same
This is so informative! I thought I could just read your instructions in the pdf but your video really makes it easier to understand. 😊
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Ok thank you

You’re amazing Ouss!!
Thank you 🙏🏼✨😁
I dont understand why you dont have more subscribers and views. You are a hidden gem!
Thank you a lot! ✨😁
Wow❤
That is a great method! But I am not sure I understand: when you shrink the layers to the smaller size, how do you make them go to the different corners automatically?
When you select the transform tool to select what is inside the layer you will have nods in the corners click on one select half the size of the Canvas and the layer will shrink in the direction of the nod you selected.
@@oussmezherI use this shrink-to-spot method too. Avoids misalignments. Anything to prevent pixel gap accidents is good!
@@leannet3854 I have a shaky hands and this option is wonderful to have a pixel perfect positioning 😁
Thank you Ouss! I purchased your stamps, can you pls help me use them? Thank you 😊

i need new clip 🥲 pls
More Coming! Please be patient 😅👍🏼
Thx u ❤🎉
Great video! I have a question: why do you make each layer a drawing asset? What does it do to the layer? And how do you di that? I don't see that option in my layers menu. I've never even noticed that option, so i know nothing about it. Thanks!
I didn’t understand the question! What do you mean by drawing assets can you send me the precise section in the video so I can answer that. Thank you 😊

Thank you dear for participating in my LIVE! It was great to have you. Just saw that you also have a YT channel, how wonderful! Will you be uploading any extra tutorials here? :)
Yes 😊✨ but as I work full time I won’t be consistent in posting new Stuff.
Is there any reason why you don’t colour the elements before constructing the pattern. I watched the videos you demonstrated on composite and the fan shaped
If your style to put lots of details and textures in your final pattern, I RECOMMEND making sure your pattern is repeating correctly in sketch phase because it will be a nightmare to correct colours if you have texture and lots of colours in your pattern. My style is simple but from experience when ever I colour directly and see if the pattern is repeating correctly is when I get frustrated when I discover an error or I need to change a part of my design because I have to correct every coloured layer individually and that is lots of time wasted. And even in this video where I use one colour I worked on the sketch first.
Note: if you create elements inside the guide you can skip the sketch phase. In this video it was important to make sure the pattern repeat correctly in the sketch phase as the elements merge together.
@@oussmezher thank you templates are very useful
@@oussmezher thank you
Wonderful tutorial! I’m so happy you uploaded this as I’ve been busy making patterns and this would be great for a few I’ve made recently. You are a natural teacher! And these look great but simple. They don’t look like they’d be that easy. Thanks.
Thank you 😊! Glad I managed to make it easy, I love the drawing assist in procreate and I am obsessed with symmetry and this feature make things so mush easier to work with ☺️✨

I love your videos and your templates. Has totally changed my patterns. Keep posting! Will always be a fan
Thank you! ✨I will try to post more 👍🏼
Very helpful! I love your stamps. What size do you recommend for the rectangle canvas?
Thank you! Glad it helped I usually use 1500X1500px 300dpi for sketching and 3600X3600px 300dpi to create a final pattern to sell.
I feel like this is a dumb question, but what is the purpose of grouping the guide with the element before duplicating? Do you need the guide to move the element?
There is no dumb question 😁! You need a layer filling whole canvas so when you move the copies you can snap your element to the corners of the canvas…, try moving only the design that is flaunting inside the canvas and you will see that you need lots of tweeting to align your design to be placed in the same position on the 4 corners. Note: you can create a layer fill it with white and use this instead of the guide layer!
@@oussmezher awesome
Well explained and done! Good job!
