What is your fimware?
This church is really haunted . Some friends took me there for a joke ! When I went in a Raven flew just above my head then slammed straight into corner of the wall and dropped down dead !!!! I dont swear but I did that day and legged it out as fast as I could . Scared s..t out of me !!
When will the next amazing BOx event take place?
Just been here this weekend in the damp weather. Finding a braking point on slicks in the damp is quite interesting, a few spins over the race 😂😂
Good video, as patriots we also want to preserve history and stop concreting on England's green and pleasent land. We also would bring back the local Railways back in which Doctor Beeching happily dismantled and butchered in the 60s and 70s. Join us at Patriotic Alternative 🏴🇬🇧
Does sound like a train
Amazing drift
We used to go walking round this area. So many happy memories. I lost them all my mum my partner my best friend within seven months. Just not the same going on my own now. At my lowest point I thought it would be the perfect place to end my life.
Hold onto those happy memories - it certainly is a beautiful area to share with others.
Thanks for your kind words. Much appreciated. Im trying to focus on the good times. And really want to get out there again enjoying the beauty of the Wolds.
The landowner has now put up some heavy duty fencing to stop enthusiasts like us from getting near the tunnel. You used to be able to walk down off the road from beside the bridge, but he's made it a lot more difficult now. It is a site of scientific interest and he is using that as an excuse to stop others enjoying the area. The Bardney end of Withcall tunnel opens out onto the Stenigot Estate which is private, so access to that end is not possible without permission, sadly, unless like me you went one high summer morning about 4am!!!
Disappointing, but understandable from the land owners perspective.
This sort of thing freezes a moment in time a way of life. Future UA-camrs will be saying: 'What! there's actually a real human being sitting inside that cab?' Robin Witting
Thank you...and the answer is yes 😃
Brings me memories from when I used to live in Louth use to go to Hubbard’s hill for a walk back in the day but don’t miss it there much better places to go for walk InLondon like river Thames
The more publicity this gets, the more support can be injected into a future campaign to get this part of Lincolnshire back on the rail network. Areas like this have suffered economic stagnation because politicians have turned their back. A car economy is useless in any area.
From what I can tell there's more chance of it being turned into a cycle path...
@@richardesty That would be better than leaving it to become forgotten. Bardney to Louth would make a great cycle route.
@@jontownsend8090 Agreed - and being relatively flat would make it an attractive proposition for most cyclists.
Love this!!
Cheers Shane
Sometimes we just don’t appreciate 50 miles of Lincolnshire coastline
The only way I could contact you, ref Theddlethorp tank, it was driven down there in 1958 according to Eric Emmerson who owened the Bluebell garage, in 1967 everything still worked, the haches opened the turret moved with ease and the gun went up and down! over the years however the salt took its revenge and it started to rust up, but real damage was done with flame cutters, the turret went first and lots more followed, I would say the early 80's around 1982, I was gutted having grown up with it, they should have left it alone, as it now just a shadow of its former self!!!
Thanks for that John, fascinating to learn 👍
NANI?! KARTO DORIFTO??
Brilliant
Graham Clark Thank you Graham!
Should have attempted to preserve this line instead of Louth to Grimsby as more scenic and lots more features instead of just a straight flat line.
That's a really good point Robert. I have some footage of the Steam Train at Ludborough on my channel too mind!
Why 'instead of'? Why not 'as well as'? btw -- straight+flat = easier for amateur restoration.
Sadly this line closed long before the presevation movements were born, Steam was still running when this line closed to passengers, the junction south from the mainline between Louth and Boston was down at the bottom of the lane where I lived, but as kids we played where the old line ran, most of the cutting had been filled but there was still some visible behind the old greenhouses of the Market gardens at the bottom of Watts lane which ran into where Addisons, and Anglia Polythene factories later stood before going under the road where Newmarket merged into Kenwick road before going out passed the old tip on London road. Louth was a main junction with both Bardney branches and the Mablethorpe branch splitting off from the mainline south to Boston, I remember going to Mablethorpe on the train, which would have been one of the last few months the service ran before it was closed
Is this near cadwell Park??
Yes, just a couple of miles away 👍
@@richardesty Thank you for replying so quickly.
Ian Excalibur My Pleasure 👍🏼
Think I saw a fleck of dust on it 😉
Very nicely done your a bit of an expert. Great how the wheels stop spinning
Belmont yeahhh lovely video I do miss seeing the Lincolnshire worlds passed this many times on my journey Mablethorpe to Mansfield used to cycle it nearly every week. Fascinating seeing the old buildings
Great video enjoyed so much
Thanks Gary!
Great clip I miss my trips out to the rigs. Epic journey bit of everything thrown in on this trip.
And not a drone in sight!!!!
brill i have walked this a few times its willingham high st tunnel the other tunnel on the old Louth Bardney line is near to Louth at withcall thyoue trackbed can be walked ask permission the tunnel is bricked up not sure about the other end from Bardney to get to that it looks like walking over farm land .As you walk from Withcall on your right at the side is a memorial of two pilots but there by the farmer
Thanks for sharing Graham 👍
Withcall tunnel all bricked up by the folk wanting bats to live in there
@@philipmadhatter4006 yes the withcall end is the wall ( brick ) is recessed in the tunnel with a steel door .not sure of other end as its a cross county hike to get to it .on my Instagram grahamclark9007 i have photos of it taken 2yrs ago
Graham Clark bardney end was open last time I was exploring 😀as I’m local to the area but it’s been a while since I’ve been in there
@@philipmadhatter4006 i hope to find it this year ,last time i went up to withcall i asked permission to walk the trackbed from a farmer who was at the silos and it was him and his dad who putbthe memorial to the 2 polish aircrew who crashed in a mosquito on the side of the track right hand side as going up to the tunnel
What is the song at 1:46
It's a royal by free track from UA-cam. All the same song. I can find the track title if you like?
@@richardesty please that would be great
@@NELincsTrainspotting Hi it's Kygo feat. Conrad Firestone Instrumental 👍🏼
@@richardesty thanks, also it is sad to see rail lines like this
What direction from the town is this? I’m young and want to learn more / see this sort of think in person and maybe walk some of it. I’ve walked part of the old railway going northbound from louth, but that’s it
This is west of Louth, just south west of Donington on Bain. If you look on an OS map the old line runs just south of DOB, east to west, and then disappears into the hillside before coming out a mile later.
@Owen Adlam, there is a book called The Louth to Bardney Branch by W.B. Herbert & A.J. Ludlam that is packed with photos and info to tell you all you need to know. 2nd edition if you can find one. I got both from Amazon. Hope this helps.
Love it. One of my favourite things.

Not seen this Richard thought you’d done some StarWars editing again 😂🙋🏻♂️stunning filming
Thanks Gary!!!
Remember this very well Richard A10 damage
Sad. People like you are helping to keep local history alive. There's probably alot of yuppie locals who have no idea there was ever a railway there.
Nice bit of team work here.
Nice car Richard
Thank you Gary
I’ve got no idea how to put things on UA-cam someone put the two items on here
Wouldn't be lovely if they could open up all of Lincolnshire closed railways?
Yes and there are so many if you search the Internet.
Did you used to play the organ I am looking for my sister christine (rose cottage)
Yes mate, I did. Remind me where Rose Cottage is and I will try to help.
Used to visit auntie in thorpe st peter and she had young son who played the organ lived in brick cottage
Very interesting though for the detail is shows or could show I wish it was at a better resolution 480 is old hat nowadays.
Recorded in 4k, UA-cam shrunk it I'm afraid...

Ok thank you
Spooky very nice well done do you edit on iPad Pro or laptop
Depends where I am. I mostly use Power Director 16 on my PC, but also use iMovie on my iPad 👍🏼
Brilliant not been here for awhile used to cycle Mablethorpe to Skegness a lot and stop off here
Amazing Richard never seen anything like this incredible thanks for sharing
Hi, which video editing software have you used? We have an identical project and I’m looking to do the same with all footage. Great Video!
Cheers David. I used Power Director Pro 16.0 but there are many different video editing apps and software out there which do the same things. The art is often in the edit as opposed to the software.
Richardesty. That’s great! I will have a look, some of these free apps aren’t worth bothering with! How much does the one you used cost?
@@davidhawcroft1854 There's a free trial version available to download, which shows their logo. The full version of 16.0 is about £50 👍🏼
