Oh shit! I'm a third shift custodian and I spent two of the last three nights cleaning the New Orleans Square shops. On both occasions I heard loud footsteps while mopping the courtyard between the Haunted Mansion and Pirates stores but no one was there. This was between 1:30 and 2:00 AM and the merch people were long gone. No stranger to the folklore, I did a search during my break for ghosts in NOS and found this video, which I watched twice because I'm pretty sure I had a couple brushes with "something". Third shift is where the action is.

Wow!! Dolls used to scare me when I was a kid but not anymore. However whenever I ride It's a Small World I see the dolls a little creepy. Thanks for sharing this story my friend! Great job as always

I went on the ride with my husband, my brother, my brothers wife and his 11 year old son. The adults couldn’t hold it together. We screamed and cried. The child was perfectly calm. It was such a terrifying ride. The Ferris Wheel of Doom!!

How do you feel about Disney employee tropes of child predators and putting them in positions where they can interact with children? Like that cruise employee that molested a child and Disney sent him back home to avoid legal repercussions

It's too bad I can't post photos of my home. Not saying this isn't great but I design way more detailed and lifelike POC theme. My entire home is the ride all year long. Starting with an anamotronic skull and bones that greets you as you enter the front door. An exact replica just like in the ride. Living room is stacked with real iron body cages that are hand welded. Moving and talking skeletons. Real flintlock pistols firing at each other. Blanks of course. Drunk pirates sitting in wine barrels. I even have the woman being chased around the wine barrels that they took out of the ride because of cancel culture. Everything I made myself over the years. Wish I would have known about this when I was living in SD during my time in the Marines. That's when I started the whole idea. Then packed it all up and moved up north to make it bigger with a bigger place. I could have totally hooked these folks up. Made it waaaayy better.

I rode this ride yesterday because my wife wanted to. It made me feel sick. But there were three ladies from New Zealand who sat across from us. Two of them also felt sick, but the younger lady (late 20's or so) seemed to love the ride. During the first of our two rounds, she said it tickled her parts she couldn't say. During the second round when the swinging intensified, she laughed uncontrollably. I think she had a special experience from her ride. 😉

Just took my kids yesterday . Got on with my 2 year old not knowing this thing is that bad. Damn cast member just looked at me and didn’t even warn . Poor kid was horrified .

I’m a CM from DLR. Walt’s lamp is on 24/7 the only CM who can turn off Walt’s lamp is electrician, he’s the one that changes the lightbulb. No other cast member is allowed to go into Walt’s apartment and turn it off, if anyone did that person would be fired.

My grandmother dated Walt when they were teenagers in Kansas City, Mo. My first remembered trip to Disneyland was when Monstro, the whale from Pinocchio, was the big new attraction- around 1955. We were told that Walt wanted to make an amusement park that was safe and above all clean, because most of them were pretty foul and dangerous. I think he's sticking around. There's residual energy-from Walt, but from all I've heard over the years, he looks in from time to time.

I actually experienced 2 ghost encounters both Disneyland and DisneyWorld and I managed to actually say I don’t believe in ghosts, At Disneyland I yelled out “YOU DON’T SCARE ME TIMMY” & apparently the red hood did freak me out because he showed up in the ballroom sequence and at DisneyWorld there once was a dude named George who worked on the construction crew for Pirates of the Caribbean….legend has it that his ghost haunts the burning city scene of ghostly shadow figures and stops the ride if you don’t mention him a goodnight well that night I actually yelled out “I DON’T BELIEVE GEORGE IS REAL” and at that moment the ride came to a complete stop in the middle of the burning city sequence and lights flickered on and off
