Glad to know your safe.....first mistake is you were overtaking from the left even if slow...... second even if you do you must honk so that the dumper guy would be aware that a vehicle is coming....they usually don't see in the mirrors.....but of course the main issue is he suddenly turned left....we have to assume others don't drive carefully....so always honk when you overtake from right or left trust me it helps and avoids an accident

lesson learnt, always watch trucks before any major intersection as they may turn suddenly without any warning. Your car was in blind spot i guess.. These maniac truck never watch sides. As all of them (trucks) drives in top lane irrespective of highway expressway, aapko majburi main left se hi over take karna padta hai. Had it been this case. Both trucks were in top lane irrespective of which route to be taken. When I overtake trucks frm left, I aleays honk to aleart him that I am on his left.
