I draw. I animate. I make music. Here are some things I've put together.
Off-Color
This is a song about a situation that I found myself in eleven years ago.
I was talking with a friend when suddenly they started saying things that expressed an attitude that was so unpleasant and shocking that it made me question how well I really knew them.
Although I wrote this song eleven years ago, this phenomenon seems to be happening with increasing frequency these days.

You Can Do With These by Sean Bokenkamp

I shot this footage originally in 1996 or 1997 for my 16mm film "Generation Loss". What looks like static or a Rorschach test was generated from a half-toned photo that I re-photocopied and then manipulated in Adobe Photoshop 3.0. I then shot my computer screen frame-by-frame on Super8 and transferred the footage back and forth between Hi8 video and Super8 and 16mm film. The audio includes snip...

Morph from Form by Sean Bokenkamp (2020)

More From Form is a drawn-on-film, camera-less animation that was created by using various inks to hand-paint, and various implements to scratch patterns into, the emulsion of 16mm filmstrip. The original 16mm film consists of black leader and rejected footage from one of my old films. The final animated 16mm film was transferred to digital video in order to capture the full width of the filmst...

Using the FUZZ channel of the Dr. Scientist BitQuest! into the Montreal Assembly 856 For Zellersasn and then into the Boss RE-20 and mono out to a Zoom H5. For the visuals I edited together clips from "The Crowd" (1928) directed by King Vidor.

Heaven Knows by Sean Bokenkamp

"Heaven Knows" by Sean Bokenkamp. Lyrics: Grandma sat me down to say she was worried about The Judgment Day. And just where my soul would lay... heaven only knows. "Oh my child, don't you know? Heaven's a place where only good boys go." Surely it must be so... heaven only knows. Grandma fought to save my soul. Gave me a whooping and a crucifix that glows. Only one true path that leads above... ...

Just traded for this. And now I know that was a smart move...
My uterus plush was special
I got none...
My god, coming back here since after maybe 2008! Just found an old email I sent in 2008 where I sent this to someone... amazing.. It was probbaly the video that inspired me the most back then. Proper UA-cam before it became infliencer haven!
I don't understand what this demo has to do with what the Buzzaround concept would be... I'm sorry but I don't see the relationship...
please make episode 1 of this
Wouldn't that be great!
I am PJ I am a kid and I like it I like I heart guts
Great news!
Kinda in the natures of the beasts (Buzzaround fuzz and “primitive” looping), but I absolutely adore how what you’ve done evokes Let The Power Fall era Frippertronics.
Thanks
Omg I remember watching this video a lot years ago, it’s so nostalgic!!
Glad to hear that you've met the organs before! They seem happy to renew your nostalgic reacquaintance.
love!!!
Thanks! Fiona Apple is pretty great.
Question about the Nonts (since you’re the only owner/user I can find): If you turn the fuzz all the way down/CCW, will the bias and starve controls still affect the signal? Also, really awesome tune.
I only played the Nonts as part of a Tour Box. So I don't still have the pedal to check the settings you're asking about. With most Basic Audio pedals the controls are interactive, which allows you to highlight sounds at the far ends of the spectrum of different controls. So my guess would be that the bias and starve would still impact the signal even if the fuzz was *almost* all the way down. Completely off might be another story (not enough signal).
@@SeanBoke Thank you! I ended up buying one and you're right on the money.
interesting
Turn off the delay next time
No thanks.
Love the music. Used to watch this vid over and over back in 2009 when i worked on a nightshift on my own.... Wish the tune was longer
Thanks! The full version (that I haven't recorded to my satisfaction) also has lyrics.
@@SeanBoke have you posted the longer version, Sean?
2021?
2022?
Outstanding song and animation.
Thanks
amazing
Thanks
Cool art, but what's with this music?
…
You definitely get a better sense of how the Space Echo sounds, more than how the fuzzes sound, but the sounds in this video are beautiful! Very relaxing.
Nice to hear a non-standard fuzz pedal demo. Thanks for posting.
Great video, would you sell the v1 ? Or v3?
No.
excellent!
Thanks so much, David!
I have the heart the brain and stomach plush
This has a really good quality for being 2007
Very creative but more of a demo for the delay than the fuzzes...
all right.
Kind of like the Zippy Fuzz... Would be nice to hear it by itself before kicking in all the delay, just from a demo perspective. Nice though, has a keyboard/organish effect.
This isn't meant to be an objective review of the pedal. It is this particular pedal in this particular context.
Very creative music and visuals. Just not a great pedal demo.
Okay.
You're a good sport. Nice keys!
Sounds and looks really cool, Sean, nicely done!
Thanks! The BitQuest continues to deliver lots of inspiration!
Génialement bien, humour dramatique. Et musique en accord parfait.
Merci.
Love it!
Thanks.
Joy! <3
Great work with this--I love this style of looping, but I usually hear it done with "prettier" sounds, so this is refreshing. Well familiar with Bakvendt and Nonts, and they sound great here, but I like what I imagine are the sonic additions of the RE-20, which seems to have been largely cast aside by the unending commercial drive for the next big delay thing....
Thanks! I am definitely a huge fan of the Boss RE-20.
I have all the plush toys
Cool, thanks for posting.
I have all of them
Sounds awesome! How would you compare the Orpheum and the Knight?
The Knight might shine more for lead than rhythm guitar whereas the Orpheum has a wider spectrum of applications. Both are fantastic.
I have the whole collection of organs except on hoodies
This sounds great under your loving caress Sean! <3 beauty <3
that looks like a lot of work. super therapeutic thanks!
i only have uterus left and ill get ll of them cant wait for the last one
