    Tony G only does that for the entertainment value and he sure did good at that. He’s a nice guy, he doesn’t just act like that to random players. He’s generous to dealers when he plays cash, it’s hard to not like dealing to him.

    Why did he fold kings? Only aces or 2 pair could beat him

    • @HoldemHenny
      @HoldemHenny 3 дні тому

      Aces, 2 pair, any set, 67, and J10 beats kings here. If you think you have no showdown value, 10 9 is one of the best bluffs to use blocking 2 pair and J10

      @@HoldemHennyIt really doesn't even matter if he called out his kings. He still doesn't know. If that guy had the guts to go over the top of Daniel, he would fold fast.

    I never understand when table talk crosses the line. Like, how is Daniel allowed to say that? Is that dirty, or just gamesmanship?

    • @HoldemHenny
      @HoldemHenny 5 днів тому

      In this case, I view the table talk as part of Daniel’s strategy more than anything. He’s not talking because he wants to boast. He’s talking because he thinks it will make his opponent fold more often. It’s not dirty, disrespectful, or anything like that. Just part of the game

      I think table talk when it's not bad so to speak like berating someone or anything like that table talk when down in good fun whether you're trying to extract information or just have fun. I completely think it's OK.

    Nowhere close to his best hand. He knows that the other guy put him on a mid pair and was calling the implied odds of hitting a queen or ace and negraneau played accordingly

      Daniel went bet, bet, over bet the river with Q high. He knew he was getting called light, and Kenney probably would’ve called any small river bet. Negreanu understood polarization before nearly anyone else. Standard fold yes, but it’s aggression similar to a solver from Negreanu nearly 2 decades ago.
