Hi, it depends where you are staying but most places have food halls now with some decent options. If you are going more high end then you can take kids in the restaurants no probs but it will cost you an Arm and a leg. There is plenty to do for an 8 year old, she will have a blast. If you let me know where you are thinking of staying I can be more specific but off the top of my head, the tournament of kings at Excalibur, the play area at Luxor, the aquarium at mandalay and the fun dungeon at excalibur. More mid strip there is the museum of illusions. Anyway if you give me an idea of roughly where you are staying I can give you more info

@@sharonperry6208 That's Perfect !! The South end is definitely more kid friendly. There are some good food options in the "New York area" and it is great to walk round and away from the casino, upstairs from there you have an arcade if your kid likes video games too and the roller coaster if she meets the height requirements. There is the bridge that links to MGM (which doesn't have much for kids but does have the monorail station if you want to get the tram up to the North end of the strip for a look round Circus circus and the posh places like Wynn and Fontaine Bleu. Another bridge walkway takes you over to the Excalibur where there is loads for kids, the 4D cinema, The Tournament of Kings, The fun dungeon and of course its a castle !! From there you can go the indoor walkway to Luxor where the play area is and Mandalay Bay where the Aquarium is. She will LOVE IT !!!

@@Badstu that is really helpful thank you. I think she would love a ride on the monorail so circus circus sounds like a great idea. Can you recommend any shows that are suitable?

My kids loved the tournament of kings at the Excalibur. I toyed with the idea of a magic show or a cirque show but I think they may have got a little bored. There are a lot of shows, if you go on the mgm web site it will tell you whether there is adult content.

I have stayed at the Excalibur the last 5 times I have been to vegas, never had a bad experience or room but that was the best one so far, not like yours at mandalay but still pretty good.

Yes when I do the next solo trip I will certainly be trying to restrict gambling to the evening a bit more and get out and about during the day

A budget is meant to be spent and enjoyed and that’s what I did although I do regret tipping twenty bucks to my server in mandalay when I was on a streak lol, she got me sooo drunk 😹😹

@@Badstu the more you do it, the more you’ll get use to where to point the camera and check where your fingers are 😂 I was very lucky on my last trip, I got shuffled though an express crew line at immigration, through in 10 minutes. I bet I never have that luck again.

Yes mate, that's what that was, of course that was before vlogs existed. I still look for the old school machines, if I find the old aliens machine, or a MIB I end up sitting there most of the day. Be great to see yours, I had very few of the machines because of course back then it was weird if you just sat there and filmed a slot LOL.

That was the one ride we didn't do. The queue was 90 minutes and we just couldn't do it. We even tried going when we first got there when the ride opened and it was still 90 minutes by the time we got there. I have seen the ride and it looks very cool.

@@Badstu damn.. Best ride there. Very first thing at rope drop or last thing at night. Otherwise 90 min is a short wait.lol

Couldn't agree more. Disney is great for kids and even as an adult it is still amazing but for pure ride experience Islands Of Adventure wins every time
