Hello, can I ask you?
Dam, from MARC the route to Jells is super confusing, council needs to do more road markings, super easy to get lost without a GPS..
Indeed!
I’ve been as far as 5:30 and that’s where it goes a bit funny and seems may need some type of navigation but don’t know what? I’m on my TV now but from memory I can slow the video down on the pc version so I may even slow it down and screen record a snippet of that section and upload it to my phone with the VLC app. Good thing technology, thanks for the upload, might need to check out your channel
Thanks for the support!
Perfect, I’m doing that one day, saving the video for later, thanks
Goodluck!
if you ever want to reshoot this an ND16 filter a higher frame rate timelapse and a mount on the headset would look a lot smoother.
Gosh I don’t even remember Melbourne looking like that
It’s actually the Bay Trail from Point cook to Seaford
Another good ride. :-).
Great video & nice footgae. Looks like a nice ride. I subscribed to your channel. I've also started a riding channel. Feel free to have a look - ua-cam.com/video/n2Svkxw56hU/v-deo.html. Please subscribe back and help me build my channel too. Safe riding my friend. :-).
в чем смысл видео на ускоренном режиме?
Any climbing sections? Hills?
Any climbs in Melbourne?
Great in many parts. too narrow in quite few parts too.
had it running way to fast to enjoy it
Hey mate great video and Thank you this is so helpful...I work in Seth Melb and ride past the start of this trail nearly daily..I'm new to cycling recently got a giant defy 2 advanced carbon bike log in it :)
Hello, with all these numerous pics WHY DON'T YOU SHOW DETAILED MAPS OF BICYCLE ROUTES? Not very clever to NOT displaying maps!! Rather stupid!
do you own research based on the names scrub! it's a 60 second google search lol
f**king hairy... makes city riding look easy
What's the fix? That is scary close.
How many miles was the total journey?
I think it should be illegal to ride that fast
I rode my bike from roxbourgh park to blackrock we went to Toorak aswell I'm 14
Cool I cycle from saint kilda to sandrigham.
Lol you should try going up Baker Avenue, it's a good hill :). Regardless, a good video, a section of the trail after East Malvern has been upgraded since this video was posted, and the section before Huntingdale Rd is finally be upgraded atm, should be done next month. I'll say that the views on Scotchmans Creek are top notch, especially on Tunnel Reserve; the trail could stand to be in a better condition though.
I'm doing this ride every week, starting and ending at East Malvern station (45km) round trip.Never gets boring!
Thanks for the video! It looks like wodaus dot com is no longer. Any other place we can find the route as a kml file?
Hi Sam, how was the trail like? Do you have any advise for skaters who are looking to try this out for the first time?
Tips for anyone doing this ride: You're best off going in the reverse direction. That way you go down the flight of stairs, and down the *very very steep* Heidelberg Rd underpass instead of up. Also, take the north bank of the Yarra River rather than south - the path is in much better condition, and you get to ride on the pontoons which means you're literally riding *on the river*. Start at Fed Square, and following the ped/bike arrows heading east along the bank. At no point should you have to ride on the road itself, only cross - this video shows a small section on the road which had the cyclist taken the marked path to the left at 8:48, he/she would have avoided the road. Capital City Trail is beautiful, well worth the ride.
Good effort to cover that distance in 10 minutes.
lol hahaha
Hi...great video......Any chance of doing one from jells park ......I live south east subs.,,,and everyone does rides from the city
Norseman to Coolgardie! Are you guys crazy? Good luck to see if you get road-trains to give enough space on a highway that was designed (width wise) for singles. Give you credit, not sure for bravery or stupidity!
Man, I'm brasilian and i want to live in Australia. which city is better? Melbourne or Sydney?
Carlos Junior Melbourne mate :) nah but it’s rated higher for happier people and a more liveable city than sydney
I pass everything before and about 5-10km after the cheese dick at flem rd. Had no idea this is where it can lead. As a new cyclist I'm definitely doing this ride. Thanks man
An awesome trail but so unknown amongst locals. I enjoyed it.
I wished i had seen this before i 'explored' the capital city trail. I wouldnt have gotten lost near the docklands area.
Not allowed to post a web address apparently, but go to the latest blogs on wodaus dot com and it's the one at the bottom of the list.
If you stay on the bike paths it's pretty safe, though there are plenty of them. Roads can be a bit scary at rush hour, but ok the rest of the time. I don't think a car is necessary if you are living near the city.
Lol, averaged about 150kph for this one I think ;-)
Great video. Thanks!
Hey any chance of a detailed map of the route? great vid too.
So would you say it's safe to go everywhere on your bike in Melbourne?
Just got my bike and still sorting out the different trails into town, thanks for the upload, ill build up to complete this trail
Hi great video. where abouts did you mount the camera.
