I adore the additions that the anime version made to this theme. You really nailed that percussion (mini lightning strikes !) and the extra rhythm sections - those tremolos are just mwah ! Awesome stuff, wish I'd found this sooner ;)

Imagine this version playing in the intro stage, but the intro stage takes place at night and the city is burning to the ground with the clouds above a hellish red reflecting the light of the fires, as wily goes off the deep end orders his robots to completely destroy monsteropolis. As megaman traverses the burning hellscape he comes across the black rogue bass in the darkness. It's all the more fitting considering the intro credits scene has the city burning at night to begin with.

I first learned about this song from Megaman - The Power Battle, one of the first Megaman games I ever played (the other being Megaman II. Yes, the one for gameboy). This and Junkman's theme were my favorites of the bunch, and I will admit that hearing this cover makes me feel like I'm hearing it for the first time again in all of it's glory!

Just listening to this makes me feel like playing Freezeman's stage again! The original brings forth a feeling of some slight caution, but this? Just listening to this makes me feel like Freezeman's level isn't a place housing a difficult boss, it makes me feel like I'm in some sort of icy wonderland blanketed with snow, with those polar bear minibosses there to greet me! I love it! xD

I love that it has alot of the original NES Batman feel. instead of it being cartoony, it feels gritty and runinous, which considering the devestation in the introstage is very appropriate.
