Thank you for making this guide. I'm getting into Astroneer's mid-game and I've had this idea of building a railway straight into Calidor's mantle for quick access to rich wolframite deposits and other goodies. But whilst I could see rail post blueprints in the research catalogue, the schematic for actual rails (which I assumed was also required for my project) was nowhere to be found. It turns out that I don't need to craft the actual rails and the task ahead of me is far less monumental and quite feasible.

I wish I would have found this when I was starting out. Good job on a beginners video. Where to click and what it means is well done.

Why are some of the tethers c¿colored red or green?

medium power storage, you didnt mention it needs lithium which is NOT found on sylva so if they dont have a trade platform they need to reach for the stars!

Ah yes the mid to late game auto sorter. The fun (imo) really begins once you unlock everything. Got an automated sorter and resource recall with all the primary (15+1) resources at my main base. The trick is counters!! Allows you to eat the pesky return signals on the various sensors. Also to any new players who read this comment get your automation as early as you can! Saves alot of time from manually building everything you need. Setting up an automated factory for platforms/storage/auto arms/betteries makes the mid game alot less grindy.

In the process of getting to the end game, how necessary is a factory like this? How do you going about moving resources between planets?

yall have the gateway chambers on the ground???? mine are halfway in the air, died 3 times tryna get up to the south one, and only had a simple buggy and got all 6 plus 1 on desolo

I never feel like I need my large resource canisters in one place, I usually place 1 or 2 on a planet for the specific ores I'm mining

I don't get it. None of those generators are in my game. You said the small generator is at the beginning, but I don't see it anywhere. It's nice that you talk about the power, but not so good that you don't explain how to obtain it.

Better yet, at later game, build lamp posts type structures as high as you can and put them on there

I recently returned to this game after being away from it for a very long time. I found the whole planet core gateways to be a tediously boring and it doesn't seem to have changed any. There seems to me to be vey little purpose to be able to teleport. By the time you have all of the equipment that is needed to open the gateways you have most likely already been to every planet that you need to. I now see the most beneficial need to get close to the core is to get hold of some Astronium. Other than that, I wont bother.

if you cant see where the hell it is when you are in the planet, press right on d- pad and select the compass. this compass will show every beacon on the planet, every player, and even some resources and stuff like your rover and stuff. compass is a game changer

I know this series is a tad old but figured I would note that you need roughly 350,000 bytes to unlock everything so its worth while picking up as much research as you can. Also each harder planet the resources are worth more.

It looks such a simple game but there is so much complexity!
