Hello, Everyone!
I'm the Travelling Trainspotter. Although new to UA-cam I have been recording trains since 2017. This channel finally allows me to share my train videos with all of you.
My name comes from the large amount of travelling I do to film trains. Although I'm NSW based, these can be as far South as Albury or even Melbourne to the wonderful Hunter Valley stations like Singleton!
I hope you enjoy my content and if you like what you see, please consider subscribing as it substantially helps me and my content!
If we can get to 500 Subscribers, I will release a new series of videos! So please subscribe!
If you have any station vlog requests, please, feel free to post your suggestions under a community post or a recent video! I always do my best to follow up with you.

On a rare occasion, I have travelled out west to Ulan Colliery and Willpinjong Coal Mine to film 3 coal trains. These 3 trains were all unexpected by an absolute delight to see and film. I really hope you enjoy this video! If you do, please like, comment, share and subscribe! :D

Rare Sight! SSR Empty Coal Train at Abandoned Capertee Station
Переглядів 7883 місяці тому
This is a very rare sight that I honestly did not expect… On a cold winters morning, the run out west was interrupted by the sighting of this train out at Blaxland. After stopping at Lithgow to film it I again, I realised that the train had already passed. After chasing the train from Cullen Bullen, through Ben Bullen and finally to Capertee, where the speed limit on the highway was quicker tha...

Do you mean my reference to the train like H18?
@@TTTS107 yeah
All of Sydney’s trains have a single letter code determining the set they belong to. Here’s the key; A - Waratah B - Waratah Gen II D - Mariyung F - Red Rattler K - K Set N - Endeavour Set P - Xplorer Set S - S Set T - Tangara Set V - Intercity Set X - XPT Set

These days PN coal runs in sydney area generally quite rare now, last time a coal run(not wagon transfer) was late last year, CA80/CA79
Indeed it is unfortunately, the only coal trains you really see up there now is MC50 Aurizon, I’m that case, TM73 was diverted via Sydney due to line closure at Robertson. The Tahmoor contract is now owned by Aurizon. Thanks for sharing!
@@TTTS107 Aurizon isnt as common for coal up here now, HA57 is quite common but thats a wagon trasnfer to Hexham. Mainly SSR now, but, their trains are quite good right now, the C classes, and SSR classes are working the centennial coal workings right now
@NSWtrainspottingvideos you’re correct again, in my newest video, there is a video of an SSR coal train under number CA15, that was led by a trio of CEYs a very common sight on SSR trains, however, I have another video which I will upload just for you, give me a few minutes.
Downloaded (i used screen record)
What are you going to use it for?
I would never be able to get that good quality
High quality cameras 🤫
Im on flcker to only see your stuff your really good at photography
Thanks a lot for that! I’ll be uploading some more photos soon!
Thanks a lot!

Hello do you ever show your face or/voice
Not usually, I’ve kind of just thought that the type of content that I make doesn’t require my voice or face, I’m sure some opportunity will present itself for me to use them but not for now.
@@TTTS107 cool I do my voice sometimes also a little tip imma gift you 1 week of flicker pro if you want
Imma get some vids on my channel im going to a big model train show soon
I’ve got some model trains, enjoy the show!

Thanks so much!

You were in the right place at the right time. Well caught. You must have waited a bit for these. 👌🏻
You bet I was! I only had to wait for the first one. The other two I caught while I was driving and didn’t have to wait a minute! Thanks for watching!
@@TTTS107 super fortunate. Great capture 😊
@@Starry-Night6 thank you!
Getting some good freighters
I am! Thanks!
Amazing 🎉👋👏
Thanks a bunch! ;)
Steel coil train needs distributed power to reduce strain on couplers. Large numbers on Pacific National locos ideal for spotters.
That’s right, thanks for that info.
I like the turbo gear noise on these. A higher pitch than other GMs. Sounds great.
@@krisb51 I completely agree with you. It was a treat in itself to hear the 40 year old turbo in these diesels!
Nice😮
Thanks mate!
Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you! I will! :)
nice
Thanks mate!
I love the aurizon C44
Me too. My first time seeing the ACD locomotives as well.
@@TTTS107 nice
😮sweet
Thanks mate!
Just for context: Capertee station was closed 50 years ago in 1974 and now only sees trains operating under the number AR-- and VP--. These trains don't run very often; let alone during the day! So I was incredibly lucky to be driving out west and to come across this beauty. Thanks for watching!
when was this?

Thanks
@thenswtrainspotter you’re welcome! :)
DCTs and DTDs are the best, what me and my friend used to do, we would bring our backpacks that have a folding chair attached to it, and we would sit in the ex guard cab, on our trips to Newcastle we would do this and never get tired of it
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Nice video
Thank you! :)
Long and in need of some freight. Good capture
Yes it was as us rail fans like to call it, a train loaded with air! 😂
Quite a mix
Indeed! The 3rd locomotive was a rather rare catch!
Very cool🎉😊
Thank you! :D
Nice vid
Thanks! ✌

Love the stills at the end. Some great shots taken
Thank you! I love them too I’ll have to do the shots at the end more often.
@@TTTS107 good idea, adds to the footage.
@Starry-Night6 Thanks! Yes it does!
Capertee station still looks in good shape, the interior was fixed up and floor stripped and polished about four years back. The Airly Colliery trains are fairly regular, also Pacific National used to run trains out of that location too. Great video, I know the area well.
Wow mate! That’s amazing, thanks for that info! Yes, Capertee does look pretty good. I just visited Rylstone station. I’m pretty had way but still there. I’ll upload that later today. Thanks for watching!
You are getting some very good footage
Thanks! I’ve got another video of a separate coal train coming soon!
This is awesome and amazing footage
Thank You! This was surreal to experience! :D
