That's not fair. The bathroom needs to be consistent with the rest of the house and the neighborhood. Is this a fix & flip? Could this stay the way it is? If this is a dirt cheap house this may stay the way it is. Don't move the TP unless it's really inconvenient. Start doing that and now you could be in for some money. I had one recently where someone did a bathroom wall very cheaply. One 2X4. Just enough for the electric box in the center on a 5' wide wall. We had to fix it. A whole lot more than we wanted to spend. Had we not worried about a stupid little electrical outlet that was a bit low we would have saved a lot of money. New wall, new cabinet, new lights, electrician, plumber. You never know what's in those walls. If you're going to modernize it, I'd set aside about $15K and demo it all and start over. Hope the 15K will cover it.
