VERY nice video. Makes me want to go next year!!!
I wish there were shows like this in Phoenix
glad i stumbled into your channel
When it Comes to Favorite Vendor I go To who Has What I am Looking For. They Have what I’m looking For he’s My Guy.
NO
Saturday was jammed we made the trip up and there is so much to take in especially the main building we’re scaletrains and scenic express camp out. The outer buildings are a little more and less crowded. They almost have a 5th building need at this point
ho has come a long way!
Great video. Haven’t been in years.
I wish i could have made it this year..i was there last year and it was insanely crowded..looks like that wasnt the case this year..
It was not as crowded as last year, which made it nicer to move around the tables!
Tried to find you on Saturday but we must have been in different places at all times. Raymo
I looked for you too Dan! My wife was looking too! ha ha!
@modelersworkbench8343 maybe I'll see you at one of George's open houses
Wow, I could happily spend a couple of days looking around that place. I attended a model railway show local to me here in England this past weekend, it was good but as my main interest is in the US I find shows over here limited. Where those light up sign Miller engineering, I have not seen them in person and always wondered about adding one to my layout. And those rubber rock faces looked fantastic. I look forward to seeing what you picked up. All the best Anthony
When Spending Time At a Train show Never Rush Anything Soak It In And Stay Till Closing.
Thanks for the highlights of the show. I would like to attend once just to say I've been. However, I know the show is mostly geared towards HO and N scales and I model in O scale. Look forward to seeing what you picked up.
Awesome channel great video keep them up make sure you like and subscribe thank you for your support I need all feedback on my train videos thank you
Hello Bob, Thanks for the video on the ice platform, lots of good information Is there a way we can contact each other 1:1 as I would like to chat with you a bit more about the ice platform and your use of the X-tool laser cutter. Also, missed seeing you at the Springfield show. Let me know and much appreciated, Cheers, --Paul
@12:09 wrap your block in Saran wrap. No chance of sticking.
Realsitic and superb fences, great job!
Congrats on the 1k subs
Great video!
Great tutorial…I always learn technique from you when you post video…
I have done a !ot of fences and assumed there was nothing for me. I was wrong. You gave some real good ideas. Thanks
Nice detail - love that pallet on the ground. Thanks for the video.
Very nice build. You might want to add a company name on the doors. The Amherst show always has a 1:87 display of vehicles. Lots of great ideas there.
great idea! I think I'm going to pick some kits up in Springfield
Made by a Chinese inmate in a re-ed class! They do nice stuff under pressure!
what scale the lamp posts look to large for HO
hey there, they are about 8cm tall, which puts them around 20 scale feet tall to the top of the rounded frame. I think I saw smaller ones on the Temu site....
I think the round shrubs would look good either side of house doors in small containers, or in the middle of gardens as a trimmed standard bush.
Great job and instructive with tips for modifications and weathering.
Nicely put,,thanks for sharing,,😊
They look okay. However, I don't plan on buying from TEMU.
ive got loads of products from Temu they have great deals on led's and smd's
I have to admit I bought a bunch of those street lights (with the square glass lamp enclosure) off eBay and they have great detail and are very solid...I think they're brass...I wouldn't be suprised. My thing is, TEMU itself. 100% Chinese. I try to limit my interactions with the country. Put it this way, I couldn't throw them very far... Good vid though.
Upon further inspection, the decorative piece on top is indeed metal,,,, I’m going to try paint and weathering to see how they look!
Great idea to show some cheaper options especially for those starting out in the hobby. Shows you don’t need to spend a lot to get creative and kick off some simple ideas. Test and try new techniques before buying up in more expensive options. Thanks for sharing. New hobbyist from AUS
I bought some military miniatures from Temu and never again!!!! Detailed looking soldiers came back all about 1/32 instead of 1/35 with very little detail, got a 1/16 nude woman instead of the soldier I ordered, another set of two 1/16 soldiers which were supposed to be 1/35. I ordered more than that which turned out to be medium quality, an entire 1/35 hospital set that just don't have the detail shown, again. The biggest kicker was that the price for the 1/35 soldiers (which came as 1/35) seemed okay but dang it they did not charge me the 1/16 price. Here is how it happened: I saw the prices in my cart that were okay but when I finished the order and clicked "purchase," I saw that for the female and two male solders the price was like $98.00 and it happened so fast that I only saw the change for about two seconds. So, no, won't do that again. It just seemed to be a scam, certainly not the European/S.Korean/EbayChina/American?Australian experience. Speaking of Australia, a really good place to order, save money is BNA model world in Australia. You have the advantage of saving dollars over Australian dollars and shipping is 4-6 days. Plus they sell the brands that you already know plus a few you don't.
And containers usable for storing all those little pieces one accumulates.
I wouldn't trust temu
Overall, I just want to stay away from Temu.
thanks for sharing your experience...i wondered what their products were like...
Small resin pieces are the worst to work with. Good chance for warping and miscasts. I model railroad and model wargame, I refuse to buy resin models anymore due to quality
Thank you for this video! I am hesitant to order from Temu so appreciate your willingness to try it and share your experience!
The 3 foot rule works. If it looks good from 3 feet, then it works.
very true!
Temu? Bahahahahahhaha. Their products have absolutely no resale value.
China makes fantastic products.
You want to resell them? They make cheap stuff you can maybe use to bulk out your layout or use until you can afford a good quality item.
@@ausfoodgarden The figures are excellent. and at last affordable crowds of people. The trees are great as are the railing fences and street lamps. and as for model vehicles, the Chinese have written the book on those.
I was cynical at first and to be honest I have been more than happy with all I have got from them so far - which is a lot.
I'm not sure I'm sold on them or not, I always get leery of the cheaper products but maybe for back round stuff.
the lowest end start to look only good in the background, but at that point you might as well slap something together out of plasticard or foam
I too ordered some scenery products. I added them to get free shipping, as what I got in return was fair. My timing was very good over the holidays as I got mine for a little over $3. I also got some farm animals realizing that they would have to be redone, but what do we ever plant on the layout that we don't tweak a bit?
Absolutely! I just dipped some of those round bushes in Matte Medium and then put some flock leaves on them,,,, look better now and will definitely work for background forest/ growth. I am going to try and paint/weather those street lamps to see if I can get them to look a bit better. The free shipping is nice, I agree!
I won't buy from TEMU just out of principle. I think they sell junk, or cheap imitations at best.
Another excellent video. Would like to see you do a Bar Mills kit.
Another excellent video. Also would love to see more of an overhead view since we could see a closer view. Really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. You have an easy to listen to style.
Nice job. I learned a lot! (The kit is still available!)
Bob, I just found this video. I would have given you some pointers on the assembly. Great job on the first build! Hopefully we can hook up at Springfield. Raymo
Looks good thanks for showing us whats in the box and how to etc. Im gonna have to get one to try out.
Nice build! Really like the window changes you made and the coal hoist looked great. Glad I found your channel. Keep posting!
A great kit and you did a very nice job on it. Your workmanship stays constant, excellent!
you did a nice job on that model. you should have shown it installed on the layout.
