Yes, could you explain to the VA that there is such thing as a car grant and how to process it because Las Vegas Prosthetics is not sure about anything. They don’t process anything for anybody that way they never have to do any work but they do get illegal paychecks for denying benefits and services..

they told me I don't have any more education benefits, my wife & adopted grandkid has benefits but I have 0. Guess I should not have went to school so much back in the late 90's & early 2000's .....

The VA and government don't tell you about your benefits and social security benefits. You really have to do your research and talk to other veterans. VSO's only give you 15 or 20 minutes to complete the application, and don't even tell you about DBQ'S or Nexus letters. Veterans are left to fight the VA on their own for decades.

The VA documentation is confusion on this subject. Some documents say you can receive vehicle adaptation device(s) but when you download their form it just offers the vehicle grant. Are they not offering adaptive items right now (like 10 years ago they were PUSHING power chairs and now are PUSHING walkers)?

I read that after 30 years you could get a second allowance. Is this correct?

I've been very blessed with a very good state pension in Washington State that comes with COLA every July. It is based on the CPI-W index for the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett/Olympia area. My recent COLA increase for July 2024 - July 2025 was 5.9%.

It took me too long to understand VA math....so I just got one condition rated alone at 100%.....much easier! 😂😂😂

Bottom line; ALL Veterans who served before 2018 and served less than 20 years, have been left behind. The 2018 BRS legislation finally supply those who ETS after serving a minimum 2 years, receive a minimum pension payment starting at age 60. The 2018 legislation fell short, not including all who served prior. Law makers have prioritized retirement pensions for civilian government employees over military service members. A member of Congress or a postal worker who served just 5 years, get a minimum retirement pension, yet a Marine, soldier, sailor, airmen does not! Fix the 2018 BRS legislation to be inclusive for all who served and stop marginalizing the brave men and women who put country first.

Don't you think that this is one among many things the VA could be distributing information on with all the paperwork they send you? Healthcare overseas is much less expensive so you may have to pay for it first and then wait for VA reimbursement. There's a thing called medical tourism that civilians do why not veterans except we haven't heard about it until now. I encourage veterans to travel to get a wider perspective on what's good in the world.

whats the difference between Major Richard Star Act vs CRSC? if this passes, does that mean they will transfer you from CRSC to MRSA? iand if they do, is it taxable? CRSC is not taxable which is an added bonus to the veteran. A medically retired disable vet due to combat can already receive CRSC tax free so why is this a big thing? The only thing i can think of is that if you get MRSA or are transferred from CRSC to MRSA that it will now become taxable, which is a win for the government and an "L" for the vet. maybe im missing something.

Man I went to school ( flight training ) using the GI Bill, then received a letter that I was given an eligibility letter in error, and the VA isn’t going to pay for the school. Now I’m stuck owing the school around $5k. How am I responsible when the VA gave me the eligibility letter? I’ve been appealing this for over SIX YEARS.

To be fair, to my knowledge when you took the lump sum or the monthly payments separation pay. You were briefed ( I did ) that if you eventually received VA disability pay or rejoined later and got retirement pay. Then you would be obligated to pay the bonus back. That being said, I got out in 1995 and took the lump sum. In 2001, I joined the reserves until retirement in 2014. I applied for VA compensation and was awarded disability and promptly had to pay back the exit bonus. It took 2.5 years before receiving and disability pay. To make matters worse, when I reached retirement age, DFAS also took it. The VA and DFAS don't talk to each other. I have sent letters, called both agencies numerous times with evidence to no avail. Finally, sent letters, with evidence of both paybacks to congress men and senators, got blown off by both. I paid it back TWICE.

We need Trump back in office. This administration has completely screwed up (like we all knew they would as an illegitimate administration).
