How's the gas mileage?
Good. If i do constant daily driving long distance in eco mode i can get 450mpg miles. Highest i got was 500mpg. But that was when i was traveling like 2-3 hours somewhere. But regular miles driving from work to home or anywhere i get about 380-370mpg
What tires are you running ? Dog mount too?
Stock tires. Burning those out until i get new ones, and also want a dog bone mount. I have mega list of parts i put together im slowly gathering for this car.

Stock tires still. I plan to get new ones once i run these ones thru. These stock tires are garbage tho

It’s stock lmao I’m getting mine Friday. Been watching a lot of start up videos and take offs. Yeah it’s not the best car in the world but for the price. It’s definitely up there for what you pay and get for. What other car for around $30k will sound like this stock…? With having the GT2 package and all the amenities you get for a little over 30k is a steal

Hey man my girl just got the 2024 gli 40th anniversary is has like 300 mile on it now but I tried the lunch control in sport hit the break hit the gas and it just loaded up didn’t engage no launch control any tips feel like maybe I wasn’t hitting the break enough or something or there a break in period any tip would be highly appreciated thanks
Traction control needs to be off then sport then push break down and gas all the way down till it hits 4k rpm. Then launch!! Lol it can be confusing at first
Are the specs on this any different than the Canadian 24 GLI?

How did you make the intake? I know no company has made a cold intake for this engine yet.
I did not make it. I bought this from APR. Its pretty much plug and play. Take the old air box out put the apr one in connect the stock intake pipe and connect the secondary filter and the small hose to the intake and its ready. Its a very simple thing. Which jetta do u have?

@@TrixJetta_mk7.5 you can check on GoAPR.com, Performancebyie.com, getunitronic.com, or check on ecstuning.com. I tried checking on 1 website and i dont think they make intakes for your model yet. I use to have a 2019 jetta 1.4t and they make intakes for that one but since u have the 1.5t they are probably in the process of making some for that motor

I’m sure you feel the same, but with mine, I always hate how you can’t fully turn off traction control and that it still decides to cut power. It makes launch control nearly useless sometimes.
I agree with you too. Its weird idk if its some safety thing because this car loves to spin like a mf with or without launch control. There was one video i took where the launch control actually worked well like there was no traction control. If you press and hold the traction control button u will turn traction control off and turn on ECS sport Which is limited stability. But like u said it doesnt actually turn traction control off all the way

There was a bump in the road that fucked it up lol But i found out that if i put it in paddle shifter mode and launch control it i get full power instead of the car thinking on its own to save fuel and shit. Someone in one of my other videos explained it better then i did

Try using the paddle shifters.. the stock transmission is going to change gears when it's most fuel efficient so you lose tons of power..

Yeah I can see you never driven a car in your life this car stock to stock is faster than a Wrx STI ..Civic type R...mustang eco boost...civic SI....Camaro V6...Dodge charger RT V8....most bmw non M cars...nissan 350z...lexus F sport..mazda RX8....Toyota 86...Subaru Brz..Honda s2000 and many more so I would not call it slow at all but the 0 to 60 time in this car suffers due to the not so grippy tires that come from the factory and the traction control that keeps cutting off power but in Roll races this car would smoke all the cars mentioned above and a lot more because I personally smoked them in mine when it was stock and all cars I raced were driven by by my friends or their friends who are all gear heads and good drivers
